The three players selected right after Ealy

This whole thread is about Ealy being the wrong pick and since you came in here with a flawed argument and I shut you down now you are changing the topic. And no DE wasn't a need, WR was a gargantuan need. I think about winning now not the future the NFL is a win now league.

And just like The Golden Calf of Bristol was a better college QB than most Sam was a better DE than most. Funny thing is if you read Ealy scouting report it reads more about potential than actual game tape.

Goob...dude...the only thing you got right in this statement? That this thread is about Ealy. Man. you really do have your own unique way with facts, and history don't you. Throw in your unwavering belief in your evaluation skills. And you get...this post/thread.

I mean, what was the point of this thread to begin with? What is your hypothesis? You must have had a reason in mind when you posted it.

Are you trying to point out our GM is not perfect? Because I am really, really sure you will not find one person who believes he is.

Are you trying to say that you could do a better job at this than our GM? Because...well, that is probably a big ol heck no on that one.

Are you trying to say that you are mad because we missed out on a player you wanted? Because that my friend is a universal complaint of all fans. And not worth starting a thread like this. At this particular time. Because the timing of this thread is kinda fishy if you as me.

Or are you just unhappy that Gman is getting some love right now? Because I can see how a Gman hater could be a little salty right about now.

So please indulge an old man would ya? And tell me the reason behind starting this thread, at this particular time?

I think many of us on the huddle wanted Morgan Moses or Billy Turner.  Ealy has worked out better than them, at least.

Allen Robinson would have been fantastic.  But you can do this sort of thing for most failed draft picks.

If we had beaten the Broncos in SB50, the Ealy pick would have been an unmitigated success, even if we had outright cut him the day after the SB.  Such is life.

At the time of the pick it was known that Ealy had big questions about his consistency. Kony showed flashes of having the capability to be the player we drafted him for, but it just didn't pan out. I don't think it was lack of talent. Not going to hold it against DG, but it was a gamble kind of pick, just didn't pay off unfortunately.

Funny thing is. Ealy still produced more while being inconsistent. Another funny thing, the people who wrote those reports, would have taken Ealy. Just like the NFL did. And it was a need whether you like it or not. If you know at least one, if not both DEs might be leaving the following year, you might want to address it. And it's not like he didn't just take a WR. This isn't a video game where you can fix things with the push of a button. In real life, you try to plan ahead. Show me where I have said it wasn't a mistake.

My comment had nothing to do with Ealy as a prospect, its a fact Sam was a better college player.

Yeah you could of addressed in 2015. Its not a video game but did we or did we not just double dip at DT the year before? Also Johnson wasn't going anywhere.

Again why are you in this thread? let me guess your gonna use the hindsight excuse that has been debunked 20 times in this thread.

You have to admit how someone who knows your history of questioning Gman, could see how you may have an ulterior motive for posting this at this point in time. What with Gman getting some love right now. Hence, why I questioned the motivation behind the thread.

I read all the threads. Folks do that you know. Sometimes I respond, sometimes I don't. This is one of those times where I responded.

I like the White Knight comparison. I like the thought of being the hero. Charging in to save the day. Kinda like the anti-Goob. lol

By the way. You sure do sound defensive.

Theirs no ulterior motive, its nothing but facts with me. It was a horrifically bad draft choice considering all the circumstances and some people take offense to that. You being one of them.

You think being a white knight is a good thing? LOL

Continue on with your moaning

Horrifically bad. See, this is another of your tactics. You overstate something to make your point sound better. Clausen was a horror show. Compared to that. Ealy was a mild fright.

C'mon Goob. Just because someone questions your opinion, does not mean they took offense with it. That's a bit melodramatic wouldn't you say?

And yes. Being the White Knight is an honor. You may wish to brush up on your Literature.

So me questioning your opinion means, in your eyes, I am moaning? lol  Like the wife. You have a unique way of interpreting things.
