Per a source, here are the terms for former Bucs wide receiver Russell Shepard, now with the Panthers: It's a three-year deal worth $10.5 million. It includes a $2 million signing bonus and $2.5 million guaranteed. He'll make $4 million in the first year.

I'm fine with the acquisition, but I just am quite apprehensive at seemingly taking the "can he/will he take the next step" approach yet again if we are indeed basically done addressing WR now. After last year just assuming we would be right back in the Super Bowl, and finishing 6-10, I'm of the mindset that we should take nothing for granted. I don't want to see our receiving core hold us back from another Lombardi Trophy yet again because we bet the farm that a couple of 3rd of 4th string receivers we picked up can be thrown into starting roles and flourish with us.
