It's called having cap space.  It's what people have been telling the gettleman bashers for four years now.

He's set the team up for success IMO, IF Kalil works out. It all hinges on him.  Now use the draft to grab a couple of impact guys, combined with our "easy" schedule and there's not reason this team can't return to the playoffs.

You nailed it.   It doesn't matter how much talent Gettle-butt puts on this team if the Coaches can't coach.  I personally think he's going all in this off-season to take away their (coaches) excuses.

He's doing what he always said he was going to do. "Use free agency to set up taking BPA in the draft."

He's got the cap room to do it. He learned from getting cute with it last year. I don't think he knows desperation. I doubt he's on the hot seat and he doesn't strike me as the type to alter his plans if he were.

Last offseason Gettleman didn't do enough. This offseason he does too much. 

 

Be honest with yourself if you're a Gettleman hater- do you like the Panthers or do you like complaining about the Panthers?
