An oddly specific "something." We all enjoy tv. Carry on.

It's in relation to DNA, specifically the Y-DNA. From my family members research posted today:

I have done the genealogy DNA testing along with my family.  Found some amazing results.

I also uploaded to find Y-DNA info because for a guy, that never changes from Father to Son going back...well forever.  So, it helps you find deep dive ancestors.  Cousins 20 generations back or more.  My result showed a Haplogroup of this:

Your Predicted Haplogroup is I-M253

Haplogroup I dates to 23,000 years ago, or older. The I-M253 lineage likely has its roots in northern France. Today it is found most frequently within Viking/Scandinavian populations in northwest Europe and has since spread down into Central and Eastern Europe, where it is found at low frequencies. Haplogroup I represents one of the first peoples in Europe.

Some of the historic figures who had same Haplogroup were Tolstoy, Sting, Bubba, and Warren Buffett.

If you haven't done genealogy testing, go off and do it and enjoy what you discover.

For any of my friends who come down the Polish line from Jan Mariak to Stanislaw Mariak to Teofil to Mateusz to America and any male branches off of those lines the above Haplogroup is yours as well.

Now I know why I really like Ragnar Lothrbok.  :-)

The Panthers gave cornerback Captain Munnerlyn, a four-year deal worth $21 million with $10.5 million guaranteed and a $6 million signing bonus, a league source confirmed. General manager Dave Gettleman couldn't pay Munnerlyn in 2014 because of cap limitations but he did this time.

DNA testing is nowhere near what you describe. In fairness that's how it's sold. Maybe one day. Here's a start.

Sure. It's a good skeptical article...which I generally agree with as a perspective. But since my comment was about signing Vikings players and my joke of a tie to my "ancestral heritage"...I'll leave it at that and take it for what it's worth.

Fair enough. Except in rare circumstances it's impossible to trace anyone's true, direct ancestry more than 3 or 4 hundred years.  The odds of you (or anyone) being descended from "vikings" are quite small.

Whatever I'm glad Captain is back.

Can we have a kegger?  Hell, I will host it.  I may live 45 minutes from Charlotte but hot damn...is this what it feels like to be a perennial contender?  With $$?  Can't wait for tomorrow to see what else DG has in mind.  Or next week.

I love being a Panthers fan a lot more today than I did a week ago.

DG has shown everyone, EVERYONE, he learns, adapts and puts the best possible product on the field.

All you haters line up and kiss ass.

Wow I skip to the last page of this and all I see is an article about DNA testing. God this place is weird

Oh god I'm bored haha. A beautiful wife and baby are as good as life gets. But damn, sometimes I miss Vegas.

They spread their seed to a bunch of people so I'm guessing the odds are better than the meager attempts at domination of [insert random ethnic group for purposes of making fun of them]. Damnit I'm claiming Rothnar as a relative. :)

Also, I too am glad to have CPT back.
