Everybody should also realize about this, this is the last year of his deal. If we kept him this year it's very possibly (likely) he would have no impact and then go somewhere else in FA after. Wish we got more than moving up 8 spots if that's what it is but even still I think it's a solid move.

We just signed 3 (not counting Horton, who's depth IMO) and will draft one early. That means there Ealy probably wouldn't have made it out of training camp, so why not move up 8 spots?

So, is Julius our current starting DE? I don't know if I like that idea too much.. I really don't see 38 year old Peppers fighting through blocks and chasing down RBs.... He didn't do it when he was 28. I do like him coming in on passing downs but I also like Addison on passing downs.

i'm a little weary of this trade, only given Ealy is in a contract year. Part of me thinks he would have balled out for us this year just to get a decent pay day. 

I would have rode with him imo.

If it's the comp then fine but if we are giving away a starting DE then we should be the team getting picks and only getting picks...not giving them away AND the fugin player....

Yeah, with CAP looking to be the next cut, we're looking at like 3-4 busts in the past 2 seasons.
