He's been depth that has been able to start when Stewart was injured. We got all we needed out of him.

Good trade, Ealy was awful last year. Patriots see what we saw when we drafted him, a very talented young guy who is a tremendous underachiever.

Ealy sucks, he will probably end up like Mingo and get cut after one season. I'm still pissed we drafted him over those good receivers.

Issue was going to be that even if he finally played well this year, we aren't likely going to have the cap space next year to resign him.  We would have only been able to afford to resign him if he played middle of the road.  Unfortunate situation.

What if the he does well enough on the Patriots to get signed by another team next year, giving the Patriots a compensation pick?

As much as I disliked picking Kony Ealy, I really don't know if this is a good move. The only way I could see this being a positive move is if Ealy was causing locker room trouble.
