You guys are forgetting the chargers. They are looking for a strong safety to replace weddle. We aren't getting adams.

Weddle is a Free Safety. Malik Hooker would fill the hole that Weddle left, not Adams. Plus the Chargers just paid big money for Addae to play SS.

Not saying  it's not going to happen but I just have a really really hard time seeing us go safety at 8.  Especially with the possibility of there being  high quality players available in bigger areas of need or value.  If we're getting him that high he better be the second coming of Ed Reed.

I've thought that for months amigo and pooh poohed it for months.  But when Cyprien went to the Titans something changed in my mind.  That and the fact that one report even has him as the #1 player overall and it may really be the best fit.

His D Coordinator at LSU was the D Coordinator at Tennessee when Eric Berry was there and he compares them as equals.

Also, I'm a Barnett/Fournette fan but SS is a bigger need right now.  I didn't expect to say that now, but it is.

I've seen a lot of Mid grade SS do just fine, like Mike Mitchell and Chris Harris, heck old man Harper did a decent job in 2015, so I cant see us going 8 with a SS when I've seen good play out of average players at that position many times before.

And if there is a Elite DE like Allen available or Fournette, I cant see us passing on either of those if they drop to us(Allen has apparently dropped some due to medical concerns).

Looking possible that Adams could be there at #8. I'd prefer Fournette, but looks like the Jags are setting themselves up to be able to take him at #4.

No matter what, there's gonna be some really intriguing prospects available at #8. Adams isn't the only safety in the draft.

I'm still not 100% convinced Gettleman values he position enough to spend a top 10 pick on it anyway to be completely honest.

I agree but if his D Coordinator also coached Eric Berry and says they're equal then you have to.  This from a guy who has completely shunned the idea for many reasons.

Fournette + Baker is MUCH > than Adams + whoever else RB

So is the value.

Agree but it's all fluid.  I've said it makes no sense to keep Stew with Fournette but he is still under contract this year.  So Fournette + Baker or Stew (w/ high cap hit) + Adams + TE of choice?  I dunno.
