Corey Davis at 8 Bandwagon

It's weird more people don't realize this is the most likely scenario. It's delusional to expect Adams and Thomas especially to be there at 8.

I think Thomas will be there but I don't really want him. I could see the draft going as follows barring trades

Cleveland-Garret

San Francisco-Trubisky

Chicago-Watson

Jacksonville-Fournette

Tennesse-Howard

NY-Lattimore

LA-Adams

Then you havr us just sitting there wondering what the hell to do. We'd probably pick Thomas, I'd die a little on the inside and then start praying that I'm wrong about his ceiling being CJ.

Edit after I saw the Osweiler trade.

Cleveland would be so stupid if they take Trubisky first ... But then again it's the Browns.

More than a few scouts thinks that his upside is a number 1 receiver in the NFL. I don't mean on a team, I mean one of the tops in the NFL.

I agree and think he should be in the conversation, but his injury concerns me as far as current evaluations go and a WR top 10 is pretty risky if you ask me, unless it's a guy like Megatron coming in. Davis will probably be a beast but he's more of a risk than quite a few other players and I'd take a sure thing like Allen or Adams if they're there over him. And probably Fournette, Thomas, Hooker too. Would be excited as hell if we went this route, but think it's unlikely and would prefer some other options.

With Ginn gone I could definitely see a trade up into the back end of the first for a WR or Howard if he's there. Ross or if Davis slips a bit would be great, heck even Mike Williams who I've been a bit down on and offers no different playing style, but would still be an upgrade here and could possibly have a Dez Bryant like impact.

And top dawg, figured I'd talk about Philly while we're at it here. Guess he's gone, and it seems like some things are coming out recently about his character in our locker room, but I still maintain, on the field, he was our best wideout outside of KB. He was asked to block quite a bit as he said (complained about) recently so that affects stats and there were other factors this past year as to why his numbers were sh*t and why a casual fan could have no idea he's even on the team. Still disagree that he was a jag, but was he ever going to be an ideal option as a starter? No. Decent depth if not for the attitude? Yeah. Depending on where he ends up I think he could land on his feet. Could definitely see the Patriots getting him, he seems to fit what they look for in wideouts and could use his skill set better than Shula. But not sure with how many guys they already have and them possibly getting Cooks. Been linked to Philly as well. Think they could use him decently as a 4thish option but likely wouldn't be super relevant there. Either way, I wish him the best and still thank him for a spectacular 2015 playoffs. Will always remember that.

Now to move on to my next WR pet project... Don't think he's on the roster yet but hope he will be soon. Do like the possibility of Byrd and Garrett getting some more looks but not confident they'll amount to much yet. Can't wait to see in camp. There are some kids in the draft I like quite a bit but won't focus on it too much until I see who we get of them.

And Dawg, still going to get to my WR breakdown, probably some time after the draft. Looking at routes run where not targeted mainly to see if open or not and all that jazz. Thinking Philly was open a bit but not targeted and was getting somewhat upset (rightfully?) leading to attitude problem and no tender. Maybe not though. Working on the run game breakdown right now, which is a huge task (WR blocking is a part of it, and Philly's actually looked pretty solid there, though not a whole lot is asked of our wideouts there. KB has been bad there, and Funch inconsistent) then will get to WRs.

Me too. Watched his highlights though and he looks like a true #1 unlike Ross. Davis doesn't have exceptional speed, but it's good and has great agility (faster than Funch and KB).

I appreciate your sentiment, and I wish Philly the best to, but...I still think he was just a guy.

Not even the best WR in this draft, just the flavor of the month.

Just because you keep saying this doesn't make it true. The fact is that we likely won't know for a year or two. Plenty of scouts say that he is the best receiver in this draft, and/or at least the one with the most upside.

He apparently ran a 4.48 at some point in his career. I would think that would be fast enough. He likely would have shaved a little of that off if he had been able to train for and attend workouts at the Combine. Really, a great route runner with good size and hands, great athleticism, and 4.4 speed is golden.

A highly doubt we would take a WR at 8. I feel like the only way we take a WR in the 1st round is trading back. We need to remember that the WR class is pretty deep.

I still have this sneaky suspicion that we will take OJ somehow if Fournette & Adams are gone. I think the team still has hope for Ealy and with resigning Horton, Addison, Johnson and if we add another DE in free agency that might be very telling on what we might do
