Numbers are a bit jarring at first but it had to be done.  Hope Matt can perform at a high level.  I'm optimistic since he'll be next to Norwell and two doors down from big brother in what seems to be an already tight knit group.

Like someone said, if we backload, it's not terrible, we paid a bit of a premium compared to his market value (according to sites) but we were desperate.

Didn't Gross's last big contract pay him about 10 million a year?  And that was about 8 years ago and everyone is now setting all the dumpsters on fire because we paid an ok tackle 11 million.  When the salary cap goes up, guess what salaries go up.  That's just the way the world works.
