Matt Kalil contract details

I don't think I would put much stock into random fans questioning his commitment to football.

I get questioning the contract, but that seems like a reach.

Were we wrong about Dwayne Jarrett?

This has nothing to do with my opinion on M. Kalil but fans have insight into their players moreso than non fans of that team.

If they were saying the opposite you or someone else would be like "see, see, see" and we do it every year and every year we want to know what other fans think of their former player if we sign them.

He could have simply been unhappy up in Minny or unhappy due to playing in pain from poo knees, all I know is when I look at all these pictures dood doesn't put on a happy face ever it seems....he looks legit miserable in a lot of the pics and some of the videos....

I doubt he'd have commitmt problems with family around and in a better situation though...East Coast is a lot closer to Cali where he's from than some cold ass Minnesota.

I know you only usually post about Cam but this one's easy to keep up with.

Him not playing for us yet has nothing to do with the feedback we're getting from other fans.

The easy point to understand is if Dwayne Jarrett went to play for the Vikings and we told them about him would our feedback be wrong?

Pretty much every player who leaves here gets a "he sucks" verdict from the majority of fans after they leave, often from the same fans who talked about wanting to keep them right up till they left.

I seriously doubt other fanbases are any different.

Fans are not exactly the world's most objective people.

If all they say is "he sucks" then yea and it depends on which fan base.

The Vikings have pretty good fans and the ones I know(my boss being one) aren't like that.

Also the type of Panther fans that would be discussing that with other fans would go more in depth and give examples...we're not talking about on the Huddle here and you know that.

If he sucks I'll be right there with you with the pitch forks, but linking him with one of the worst draft busts in our history before he's even signed the contract is a little premature to put it mildly, and blatantly retarded to put it harshly. I'm sorry if that bothers you, but that is a textbook example of jumping to conclusions.

This forum is so damn guilty of that its not even funny. Homerism is way too strong on here sometimes.

Pitch fork? interesting...which post was it where I said he sucked or will suck or it was a bad deal or anything of the sort.

I'll be here all rest of muh life.

Once again...not a Cam topic but on the point....feedback shouldn't be dismissed because you dislike what that feedback is regardless of who it's from.

I know fans of numerous teams in my personal life (even a die hard Browns fan). Their level of football knowledge is a mixed bag.

There are probably only two guys I know of that I can always guarantee know what they're talking out.

The others? Not necessarily dumb or anything. They just don't have the passion for the game to get in-depth. That's not a mark against them either. They acknowledge that.

The problem with Internet fans tends to be guys boasting about what they know when in reality they may not.

    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
    • This was evident first two weeks of season. I don’t see any issues with physical tools since he came back. I think he is a player that must play with confidence to overcome those size limitations and he’s doing that.
    • Still 3-10 on passes over 15 yards.  At least he's not scared to merely attempt them anymore.  Where I see improvement is the 10-15 yard range.  He was 6-6.  Bryce of old was scatter shot on anything beyond 10 yards and the further out, the worse the accuracy.
