Guards have been getting around that much. Cap is rising rapidly so this isn't as bad as most people seem to think.

 

 

Vikings also offered him around $10 mil a season so he can't be that bad. Big thing is health imo.

So maybe he's convinced Ryan that he'll be happy here combined with him finally being healthy and he resorts back to his rookie form?

Top 5 draft picks this year will get 4 year 25 million dollar guaranteed contracts with a 5th year option. I'll bet you anything Kalil gets less at the end of 5 years than any of this years top 5 picks.

     So that's 5/36M. 25 guaranteed. Same guaranteed money. But that encompasses entire salary for first 4 years. You think Kalil will make less than 15M in base salary over a 5-year period? Not happening.

Looking at some of the other figures on day 1 of f.a. contracts, if he is average (ie upgrade over remmers) it seems like an OK deal to me
