Johnson is a starter who has already made enough money throughout his career to not worry about money again. Klein was a backup to the best linebacker in the NFL making $587,000/year. There is a huge difference.

He's also making enough money to live on with other business ventures. It would be counterproductive to move somewhere and not be able to be close to his business. Just so happens to be a win win for him and the panthers.
