Fox Best Bet Is To Now Start Matt Moore

I wouldn't say starting Moore would mean all our problems are gone. I just wanna see what he has. But this probably wont happen untill it's certain we'll be under 500.

That seems reasonable but I think we should try Moore earlier. 0-3 is hard to come back from, especially when NO is 3-0. It should be fairly obvious to Jerry to fire Fox, but he will let him finish the year out imo (A moral obligation perhaps for what Fox has done for this franchise). I say if we lose our game after the bye, put Moore in. This way, we put him in when we still have a far outside shot at a wildcard and also seem sh*tty enough to bench Delhomme. This way Moore can have some confidence.

OK seriously How can you say Jake is the problem here? Bad routes ran no catching wr and bad play calling. Only thing Jake did tonight was funble the ball once.

Man I hate defending Jake but this is retarted.

Yea he also threw about 2-3 deep balls all behind the receiver. He cant get it done. And honestly, you cant fully blame Moose on that. Ball was behind him and he was double covered. This is one game, what about them other INT. Defenses love Jake now

My point is this, first realize we wont win with Jake. First get that "fact" down. Nobody is sure if Matt play and we somehow get it rolling Fox wont be extended. Thats what we all want to happen, but it sure will up his chances to staying one more year. This thread does say, FOX best bet is to play Matt. Really us too, shid

Point is he's TRYING something. Cause right now, he's doing NOTHING

I'm sorry to say this but Jake is done. Since he had surgery, he has not been the same. When is the last time he threw a deep ball and hit a receiver in stride? I cant count the times Smitty bailed him out last year. When he drops back, he looks really old, shook up and scared. Since the latter part of last year, teams are making Jake beat them and he just aint got it no more. Fox still refuses to see this and will stick with his guy untill the end. He knew before the season started he had to make the playoffs and advance. If he pulls that off this year, he's a fricking genius! Is Moore or McCown the answer, McCown isn't thats for sure. Not really sure why he's still around. One thing for sure a loss to the Redskins and something has to change.

I think its a chain effect

Jake keep turning the ball over, which drops the trust of the coaching staff, which then results in us playing the conservative card more than often. You can pretty much say, if Jake play every game this season, he will have at least 1 TO per game. Thats how bad and obvious its become

Maybe it wasnt his fault, sometime you need new energy. Dont get me wrong, I think Jake has done a lot for the Panthers. After his performances thus far, I say someone made a huge mistake by giving him an extension. I think Foxey will ride him the whole way though, its his ass on the line.

    • His o loaded with swift, dj, Keenan and Rome was inconsistent at best. The d was bad. And the game management was atrocious and lost them games.  He was terrible and made the team worse. I wish they kept him
    • That is my point.  I think teams make a huge mistake when they pay their decent to average QBs top QB money because they feel that they have to match the market or lose their investment--There is no way, for example, that Tua or Prescott or Murray should all be making more than Mahomes--I mean, Dak makes $15m per season more than Mahomes. People say, "Well, when its his turn...." But that is not how it should be--so my point was that Bryce can be doing mediocre to good enough in 2 years, but the way it is going, you have to pay him at the starting QB rate--currently $60m.  So even if you think he will continue to improve, at $60 m, he would eliminate any chance for a ring---so my view is, if he is not elite, you cut him.  So you draft QBs now and see what you can make of them.
    • With two 4ths and three 5ths I’m hoping we can kill it on adding depth. Take a gamble with the two 7ths.  First 3 picks id love to address the defense. I expect Tuttle, Robinson, and Jewell to all be on the 2025 roster but not after that. Be a good time to add depth and let them develop a year.
