A recap of the futility

0-3 this season

0-4 over our past four meaningful games dating back to last season

1-5 over our past six meaningful games dating back to last season

0-8 in calendar year 2009

If not for a John Kasay field goal against the Saints in the final seconds last December, the Panthers would be riding a 6-game losing streak, 10-game streak counting the preseason.

Haven't held an opponent to under 21 points since December 14, 2008.

We're only scoring an average of 12 points this season.

Jake Delhomme futility:

2 TDs, 7 picks, 2 lost fumbles so far this season. His touchdown-to-interception ratio is the worst in the league and his touchdown-to-turnover ratio is BY FAR the worst in the league at 2 to 9.

Going back to the Arizona game, Jake Delhomme has 3 touchdowns to 12 picks and 3 lost fumbles. His 3 touchdowns to 15 turnovers is legendarily awful.

Julius Peppers futility:

Through three games, Peppers has seven tackles and one sack. If you go by his $1 million a game salary, he's earning $428,571 for every tackle this year.

Offensive futility:

The results of every drive in the 2009 season:

Touchdown

Interception

Fumble/Defensive TD

Punt (return for a TD)

Interception

3 and out/Punt

Field goal

Halftime

Interception

Interception

Punt

3 and out/Punt

Interception

Fumble

Turnover on downs

Field goal

3 and out/Punt

3 and out/Punt blocked

Touchdown

Field goal

Halftime

Fumble

Touchdown

Interception

End of game

Punt

3 and out/Punt

Interception

Touchdown

Halftime

3 and out/Punt

3 and out/Punt

3 and out/Punt

3 and out/Punt

Interception

Fumble

I could go on and list the special teams futility, but I think that speaks for itself. As for defensive futility, not having held a team to under 21 points since mid-December also speaks for itself.

Worst stat on that list for those that didn't read it all is that Jake has 3 touchdowns to 15 turnovers over his past four games.

What are you talking about. Jake is back. He only threw 1 pick last week! And he'd have had 4 TDs this week if he had better receivers. Moose didnt show heart tonight and even though he gets more YPG than any other receiver in the league, Steve Smith has lost a step. Delhomme needs help, and our guys arent helping our star QB out.

My head f**king hurts. I just took 3 ibuprofen. F**k my morning class. Imma skip that and go to my afternoon class. Need more sleep tonight. Ughh, f**k this team.

Uh, your class is much more important than any football game (as it directly affects you whereas a football team winning a game does not help you in any way or form - unless you count happiness, but you can find that elsewhere). You should probably be worrying about the class, not the team.

At least we're number one in some things

Rofl. Exactly. Gotta look on the bright side of things!

Also, continually posting stats (depressing ones, at that) is not going to help anyone. I mean, the stats are interesting, but it seems like you're pushing them pretty hard. We already know how horrible they have been playing; we understand you are upset, no need to go crazy with the stats (thanks for them though).
