Most immediate ways to create more cap room would be:

Sign short to long term deal. Extend or restructure Kalil. Cut Dickson, Gano and Stewart. 

 

Agree with everything except cut Stew. Cutting Dickson and Gano would cover Barry Church's salary. Gano's contract is a sight for sore eyes.

I view Kalil and JStew as team players. I could see them agreeing to team friendly extensions to retire Panthers ala CJ. That would help the cap even more.

That's why we have FA and the draft. Dickson is putting a square peg in a round hole. He's not much of a blocker and that's what we're using him for. Get a TE that can block. If he has receiving skills even better. This is also a strong draft for TEs. Maybe we can come out with Leggett in the 3rd.

Gano is not worth $4M. Bring in some TC competition. If he gets beat out see ya later.

yeah considering we lost 6 games by 3 points or less and Gano had some huge misses this year, a better kicker could mean the world of difference actually. There are a lot of Gano apologists on the huddle. And he strait up lost us some games this year starting with the opener. I don't want to hear that poo about the team could have played better before the kick. He had a chance to win the game and he failed to do it.

Gano is not the reason we lost games last year. Having little depth and talent in the trenches and our secondary is why we lost games.

Funny how we're supposed to be cut from the same cloth. Yet, they've been aggressive lately in free agency trying to get better and we stand pat.
