This reminds me of that time we resigned our 2-14 team or whatever the poo record was that year.

Not as prominent of players and not as important but funny anyway.

3 guys getting 1mil or less per season and resigning a team captain for less than market value is a little different than Hurney busting his load.

Last years 6-10 team would have been very good if they stayed healthy like the 2015 team did. The offensive line fell apart and hopefully this year they'll stay healthy and we'll have much better depth.

It's good to keep the team together and we still have 30+ million to add on to the roster and 4 draft picks in the top 100 in a very deep draft. I expect us to be a very good team again.

Oh I know but letting Brown go for Bersin was not a good sign. Johnson signing is alright just not ideal. We only have 10431242393252593259 hours until we sign our first free agent that was not on the roster last season :+)

Well, to be fair, Bersin's probably our most sure-handed WR on the team.

That says a lot.

Really the only reason he's around is because Richardson was neighbors with him once upon a time. That's pretty much it.

CJ earned a grade of 81.4 last year and signed for significantly less than Gholston did for the Bucs.

He's a captain on the team, provides good run D, and is an adequate pass rusher. I think this is a hell of a deal considering what the market for defensive ends is now.

Yup.  This.  We struggled against the run at times last year.  CJ still played an important role in run D.  Like him as a mentor to new young guys.  Hope we draft a pass rushing stud.  But this positions us well for FA and the draft. Our own guys give us some solid insurance. We aren't starting from a point of desperation.

LOL Bersin is staying on this roster no matter what.

We were 1-5 and were mostly healthy.  So this is completely incorrect.
