Laugh about Bersin if you want but I bet if he went to the Pats he'd easily have a 500-800 yard season.

Except not.

The Pats were going to give a 1st for Cooks and could have Bersin for some Doritos....and yet....

2 rec 17 yard is such a good 5th option. I can catch that in my sleep

I'm not arguing Bersin a key piece or anything close to it. I just don't get the point of being upset about it. Anyone else we sign to be a 5th WR on the depth chart isn't going to be much better.

I'll say it again, why is it a bad thing to keep Bersin as a 4th/5th depth WR? He's done a fine job in that role. It's not like the team is placing big expectations on him. And he's still not even guaranteed a roster spot right now.

Because typically when you have a 4th/5th WR. They are a special teams ace or a young guy with upside. I think Bersin deserves a training camp spot but if the team drafts a receiver in the first 4 rounds and a FA I don't expect him to make the final 53.

He's basically a player-coach.

Is that a white joke? I haven't ready anything to suggest he coaches any one up. He is retained because he knows the offense and performs to the expectation level set for him by the coaching staff.

White does not automatically mean coach. See Christian McCaffrey.

I don't know why we keep resigning these players who obviously are not who are needed to get you to the playoffs. Take a chance on someone with some upside at least. You know what Bersin and C Jones bring and it's nothing valuable.
