My Post-Combine Panthers Big Board Top 50

So back in January I started a thread about getting people to post their top 30 prospects for the Panthers. You can find that thread here:

My list was obviously dated, and in the weeks and events since, I have gone back and fine tuned it a bit.

Again, this is only considering what I think the Panthers biggest needs are as of right now. FA signings could change this, as well as interviews, etc. leading up to the draft.

Now, I know some of you out there are ready to scream things like:

"Omg no John Ross this list is garbage"
"Dalvin Cook 35th overall??? LOL u SUCK"

But I can assure that everything is the way it is for a reason, at least in my opinion.

Some noticeable additions to this list are the following players that I think helped themselves a lot at the combine:
Samaje Perine
Marshon Lattimore (not only did he show well, but I somehow left him off my January list)
Obi Melifonwu (count me on his train)
Josh Jones
Aviante Collins

Some guys slid a little, either because there are questions coming out about them (Jonathan Allen,) their combine performance was questionable or they had something happen that kept them from drills (D'Onta Foreman fell out of my top 50, Reuben Foster dropped a bit because of getting sent home,) etc.

Other guys moved up a bit because the FA pool might not be so attractive at those spots right now (a lot of the Safeties, some of the OL.)

There are a LOT of DBs in this draft. Good ones, too. So that might make it easier for us if we don't get one early on. There's probably a dozen more that barely missed out on this list, and I think I am counting around 15 or so potential DBs in my top 50.

Anyway. I think you can see that we have the potential to get some really good players with our first two picks. Consider also that I have omitted positions like QB or other players that teams may be high on/take too early, and some of these guys could be on the board when we pick in the third round.

I'll probably edit this one more time before draft day, to tweak things because of free agency. Thanks for checking the thread out!

Surprised you have Tabor as high as you do with him essentially flunking the combine today. 4.62 40 with terrible jumps. Unless he threw down some amazing agility drills, that should drop him significantly. He's got some off the field baggage too with attitude and failed drug tests. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up as a 3rd round pick.

Thank you for this OP, just curious where do you personally see Peppers playing at the next level?

He's a strong safety all day. If not he's a hybrid Deone Buccanon type of player.

I cant believe that there are idiots out there actually saying he's a LB. The real idiots actually had have working out with the LBs yesterday.

If Peppers is there at 40, you take him. Fill a void at safety and returning game.

He's still a damn good corner. Like Mayock said, Joe Haden stunk his 40 at the combine with a 4.7

Depends on the team. He could be a nightmare edge guy on the right team and scheme, but I'd play him at Safety and keep him in the box most of the time. He has the athleticism to adjust to coverage schemes, especially zones like we run, while showing run support closer to the line.

TBQH Tabor is probably in my personal top three CBs this draft. I would have both he and his teammate Wilson a lot higher if this was solely my list. Tabor is very very good in coverage, but downright nasty in some of his hits and in run support.

He whiffs on some tackles because of poor technique, but he can cover very well and react to the QB or run plays with the best of them. He has the vision of a safety, but can cover like a shutdown guy.
