With the 25th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select Takkarist McKinley from UCLA. The Texans have lost AJ Bouye, Quintin Demps, and John Simon to free agency. The Texans strength is their front seven, and they keep this unit strong.

Houston Texans on the clock at pick 25 - @Estrada

Wow a day after my pick Sidney Jones blows out an Achilles at his Pro Day. Should I make an alternate pick or let it ride?

With the 26th pick in the NFL draft, the Seattle Seahawks select Forrest Lamp. As bad as they need OTs,, they have to have another good OL of any kind. And Lamp may be the safest bet at OL in the draft. Bama tape shows a guy who can play LT.

I say pick again- there is no way he goes in the first now with that injury.

With the 28th pick in the 2017 NFL draft the Cowboys are going to select:

Jabril Peppers, S/LB, Michigan

jabrill-peppers-of-the-michigan-wolverines-looks-to-the-sidelines-picture-id610794930

Even though the Cowboys posted a great campaign in 2016, the fact that they needed help on the defensive side of the ball was evident. With the losses of some key defensive players in free agency, including safeties JJ Wilcox and Barry Church, their need for help on that side of the ball has increased. I was thinking about picking Malik McDowell instead, but Peppers' versatility makes him too intriguing of a pick for the Cowboys to pass up.
