Dang stacking up on TEs out there.  Gates, Hunter Henry, Hodges's

Going to go ahead and pick for the Pats and bengals so we can keep this thing moving.

Bengals GM hasn't logged on since Sunday.  Whoever on here is willing/wanted to pick a second team (I know a few mentioned on here) can pick moving forward unless the original gym comes back.

that being said with the 72nd pick the Pats select

Adam Shaheen- Gronk 2.0 for those famous Pats 2TE sets

With the 73rd pick the bengals select

Chris Godwin-  still looking for that #2 across from Green.  The loss of Samu was felt this year.  Leaving a huge need at  a deep threat

Chris Godwin is peaking at the right time:  finished his college career with 187 yards and 2TDs vs USC in the rose bowl

great combine

6'1 209   31 5/8 arms.   9 1/8 hands

4.41 40,  36 vert, 19 Bench (2nd among combine WRs and 4 more than Mike Williams)  126 broad,  4.00 20 (fastest among WR at Combine) 7.01 3 cone (faster than Samuel)  11.21 60 shuttle

We actually skipped the New York Jets and @FuFuLamePoo and have used 4 picks since his turn.

I suggest the New York Jets select Jake Butt, TE out of Michigan

58e665f28f87b_JakeButt.jpg.95f2bb92aaca2060fc1db894a7d10504.jpg

The Jets trotted out Austin Seferion-Jenkins as their starting TE last year and that is not going to be acceptable for the incoming rookie QB Mahomes.

A 4 year starter and a team captain his senior year, Butt checks off every box besides his injury. He's expected to return by mid-July and even if hampered is still a better option than ASJ.

I made a mistake. The Texans actually traded a 2018 2nd along with Osweiler to the Browns, so the 57th pick actually is mine.

Could we just put Ogunjobi back on the board?

With the 57th Pick of the 2017 NFL Draft the Houston Texans select S Marcus Williams, Utah. Quintin Demps signed with the Bears, so Williams replaces him at FS.

I'm not able to keep up with this guy's.   I'm working out of the country and WiFi is spotty as hell.  Thought I'd be back home by now but this job is taking longer than we had projected.

Any position of need to look for and we can draft for you?

If not ill put down Jordan Leggett here. Offense still needs helps. Drafted Clemson's Watson in the 1st. Another Clemson alum and former 1st Waktins is often injured, Samuel is a good weapon but still pretty raw at WR.

TE's are a young QBs best friend as they are the best bail out option. So Leggett is a no brainer. Not only because he was Watson's TE at Clemson and bailed him out with big catches. But Leggett is a standout who would go late 1st early 2nd in almost any other draft

New Orleans select LB Tyrus Bowser to beef up their LB core.

STRENGTHS

Explosive, quick-twitch athlete. Bursts out of his stance and challenges the edge. Good shoulder turn at the edge of rush and can dip and corner with very tight radius. Showed ability to play in variety of spots. Crisp change of direction ability. Took to his coaching and showed drastic improvement against the run this year. Played two years of college basketball at Houston which shows up with his footwork and fluidity when dropping into space. Has ability to pattern match tight ends. Light is starting to come on for him. Should have a big day at the combine.

WEAKNESSES

Undersized on the edge. May not have the frame to carry much more weight. Can be engulfed by size. Needs to get better with hands at point of attack. Still has issues where he looks like a basketball guy learning football. Production as pass rusher doesn't match his explosive traits. Pass rush is built around athleticism and not enough around skill. Has to get even tougher and more skilled against the run.

SOURCES TELL US

"He's got all the athletic traits and explosiveness and none of the consistency of production you want. I still think you are kind of gambling on him if you take him too high but it's going to be really hard to pass on the athlete after what he's done this postseason." -- NFL general manager

NFL COMPARISON

 Eli Harold

BOTTOM LINE

Ascending pass-rush prospect who is still learning the fundamentals of his position thanks to a late commitment to the sport. Bowser's movement ability in space creates interesting possibilities for teams looking for a twitched-up toy to play with. Bowser lacks production, but his explosive characteristics off the edge will push him up the draft board and give him a chance to play well above where some scouts might project him.
