It kinda translates into how well the get downfield to block on screens right? So if you are a screen heavy team I could see you wanting a "faster" lineman.

No. When is the last time you saw an offensive lineman wearing shorts and a t-shirt sprinting as hard as he could 40 yards in a straight line on a Sunday afternoon?

Shula wouldn't use him right.. Can't make plays to get him in space nor would he give him enough touches..

The most inventive Shula seem to do is those sweep plays to Ginn..

McCa needs to go to a Belicheck or Andy Reed or other inovative OC's to reach his potential..

He set record numbers in 2015 With Ginn and Olsen. Think that speaks he can.

No it doesn't...

It speaks to talent of Cam and those players..

No smoke screens, no short passing game (when it's clear the oline can't block for a deep passing game)

Never use tolbert to his peek potential..

Never found a way to get Ginn or Brown the ball in space..

Again like McCaffery just not for this coaching staff or team it would be a waste..

Obviously there is no discussing this with you because you're bias. If you can't see Shula had a dann good scheme that scored over 27 points a game I can't help you.

Might be on my own here but I was impressed with how James Conner looked. Kids overcome personal issues, so has the determination and focus, and looked good in drills too. Wouldn't mind him in the 3rd

I agree. All the Shula can't call plays is stupid. He totally revamped the running game in 2015 when KB went down. Besides we just hired his running back coach at Stanford to help teach wide receivers and work the slot. Seems to be McCaffrey would be excellent in the slot. He was far and away the best guy catching the ball of any back all day. Reminds me of a bigger stronger Wes Welker.

But is he worth our first round pick? That's why I was wishing he would drop to the second. With his speed there is no chance.

Even before the injuries hit us.  Teams had figured us out.  Shula has no answer.

He is our OC so we have to deal with it but to me he should be on a very short rope.   The injuries had something to do with our problems but a lot had to do with Shula.

Taking McCaffrey in round one is not going to happen, too early.  If he somehow fell to round two.  That would be fun.  His dad was an outstanding receiver and he can line up as a running back and audible into a slot WR.  We are a North and South type of RB team.  McCaffrey is more of an outside runner.  He is a much better Fozzy Whitaker.

I find it interesting how people like you bash Shula yet don't understand even what formation we run and how we use our Backs. First Carolina is not a "north south team" we run the read option out of our base formation which is a shotgun formation. Both read option and the shotgun is not what you pick when you are trying to pound the ball. Also "north South" is a running style not a philosophy. If you ever seen McCaffrey run he goes North South in one cut. No dancing at the line. Thank you, have a good day, and maybe lookup what you are posting to maybe understand it before you type.
