The Fat Boys starting the day off with the 40 this morning. Kicked off around Nine. Tracking to keep track of it at work but so far this morning...

TCU OL Aviante Collins 6'4 295 just ran a 4.75 40 and had 34 reps yesterday.. This kid just earned some $$$

Utah OL Garrett Bolles 6'5 297 ran a 4.91 40.

Keep the post coming. Running backs coming up shortly.

Bolles is definitely helping his case for a Day 1 selection at tackle.  Biggest "loser" today so far has to be Zach Banner logged slowest 40 and looking "slow-footed" in the "Shakira" drill.  Kinda as expected at 6'8 350.

It kinda translates into how well the get downfield to block on screens right? So if you are a screen heavy team I could see you wanting a "faster" lineman.

I doubt hardly any team pays attention to anything other than the 10 yard split. After that, it doesn't matter. You never see an OL get knocked because he lacks "deep speed". LOL!

Of all the pointless drills at the Combine, OL 40s have to be at the very top of that list.

10 yard split is really the only thing you want to look at there. No OL is running down field.
10 yard split shows how quick a burst they can get out of the stance and if a screem pass how quickly they can get over and open stuff up
