Besides Peppers, is there a bigger pussy on this team than Godfrey?

This play single handedly pissed me off more than any other play and embarrassed me at the same time... Was Choice I think, runs straight up the middle, think he met Godfrey about 5 yards down and continued to truck him straight to a first down. Meanwhile Godfrey looked to enjoy the ride, looking helpless and flailing around like he had just been hit by a Mack truck and was looking around on the grill to see who could get him off of it... Not that that was bad enough, but when Choice got up after finally being gang tackled 10 yards too late, Godfrey jumps up and gets in Choice's face and begins talking trash. Then walks off with a swagger like he did some sh*t... WTF??? What could you have said there, "Yeah Choice! Yeah!!! You made me look like chicken sh*t right there! Don't you ever do that again!" I mean really...

PREACH IT BROTHER. That infuriated me.

I have seen players celebrating after a guy made a first down against them but they tackled him afterwards and that was bad enough...but this? Utterly and epically imbecilic (Is that even a word? If not, it should be...just for this scenario).

    • People comparing this deal to CMC, Williams, or Stewart is laughable, and I'll break the numbers down as to why: In 2020 We made CMC the highest paid RB ever. We gave him a $64 million over 4 years with $38 million guaranteed. That's $16 million on average. In 2011 we extended Williams, then in 2012 we extended Stewart. These extensions were 12 and 13 years ago: Williams - 5 years, $43 Million, $25 Million Guaranteed, Average of $8.6 Million per year Stewart - 5 years, $36 Million, $23 Million Guaranteed, Average of $7.3 Million per year Let me do the math for you: The Salary Cap in 2020 when we Signed CMC was $198.2 Million. CMC accounted for 8% of our total cap that season. The Salary Cap in 2012, when we had both Williams and Stewart under contract, was $120.6 Million. Those two combined to take up 13.1% of our total cap that season. Without the cap going up next season (and it will) Chuba is taking up 3.2% of our total cap. That's it. Not only are we paying Chuba HALF of what we were paying CMC per year, and LESS than what we paid Williams over a decade ago, shows how much less significant the contract extension is compared to those other moves. I really am not following how people are calling this contract a "big" money contract on a running back and a waste of cap space. This is a solid starting RB contract in the modern NFL.
    • Yeah Brown was shown to be a lot more important even in his second year
    • I remember some of those poor showings by Peppers but even in those times I don't feel like Brian Burns would be anywhere close to his level. Peppers was better than Burns in every way. I've never seen Burns even once show that he could take an entire game over and severely affect the outcome and for the money he wanted I sort of expect him to have that Peppers ability. I know our defense is weak now but I'm still glad he is gone and so happy we didn't pay him that monstrous contract he wanted.
