You’ve got access to the entire league, and this is a steal league. You steal from me, I’m stealing from you. So they’re very capable of making adjustments.

I found this quote interesting from DG. Shula and Ron seem like the types who fail to realize you can steal ideas, play formations and etc from other teams... Its always lets do it our way until it works.

....i know... hell, steal the best 5 plays from each team...how hard can it be...

Evidently he really wants to keep playing and obviously if he could get cleared we'd probably love to have him back, but yeah, this feels like an injury settlement waiting to happen.

Yeah I definitely think he is after some kind of injury settlement, plus staying on the team's insurance is probably a nice bonus if he is still having to see specialists. I hope the guy has a complete recovery and can live a full and healthy life but his time as a Panther should be done, can't risk him getting another concussion with how nasty this one has been for him.

My take:

Dave said that he doesn't necessarily buy into the theory that you only pay QBs, pass rushers and scorers.

Yes, he basically admitted in so many words that he fuged up his own philosophy and modus operandi last draft which started with the removal of J-No's tag. He's not going to do that this year (or probably going forward). FA will be used to set up draft so that we can draft BPA.

We're going to go about business as if Oher is going to be on ice indefinitely.

Character is of utmost importance. Not going to draft a guy that may cause off-field distractions.

Reiterated that he tries to draft guys that hate to lose.

The draft is deep except for OT.

We will draft an RB.

CJ and Ginn still in plans.

Higher expectations for KB and Funch this coming season.

Saying we draft an RB could be Fournette or Cook in the 1st, could also mean someone like Dayes or Hood in the 6th or 7th lol. Im hoping we get Fournette Cook or McCaffrey Im not especially fond of any of the other RBs besides Mixon, who we won't touch anyway so.

Kamara and Foreman are the obvious leaders of the 2nd tier of RBs of this class, I'm not really sure about either, even though that's probably more likely for the panthers to go defense in the 1st and then get a runner in 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th.

My dream senario is trading down with the colts or browns to get their 1st and an extra 2nd + 3rd  (total two 2nd rounders 3 3rd rounders) to have leverage to trade up to grab another 1st rounder. For example trade down with the colts to get Ramcyzk, trade back up to get McCafrey or OJ.

Watched the whole thing. He seemed to be in a pretty good mood. I loved how he pronounces corner (cornerback) "CAWNUHH"

Thank goodness he admitted our WRs need to get better.

Despite the length of the pressure he doesn't talk about specific players of this draft . Says he hasn't watched much tape yet but knows its a deep RB class and a shallow OT class.

Said he had a good meeting with Victor Cruz and they're going to keep talking.

He got kinda pretty serious there at the end about how highly the organization values good character and minimal distractions. Panthers probably had their fill of it with the Hardy situation. I think Cook and Mixon won't be considered.

From a purely football perspective, in my opinion Mixon is the second best back in the draft. But, like you said, we won't touch him. I don't think we'll touch Cook for the very same reason.

Kamara and Foreman are being touted by many as the top of the next tier, but for my money, Jamaal Williams should be within that same conversation. Flatly, I'm saying that he will be better than Kamara, and probably Foreman. His scouting reports are kind of all over the place, but one thing is for sure: He gained some buzz after his bowl game and the Senior Bowl.

The last link is basically a sales job by his agent, but he speaks the truth and it basically mirrors what Polian said.

The Huddle is largely sleeping on Williams. Don't! If we don't draft Fournette in the first, look for Williams to be a surprise pick in the third.

Exactly who I've been looking at as well.

A draftnik actually got him on his show one time to explain his thought process if you wanna watch:

Totally agree on Williams. He's my 2nd choice after LF in the whole class.
