Evidently he really wants to keep playing and obviously if he could get cleared we'd probably love to have him back, but yeah, this feels like an injury settlement waiting to happen.

Yeah, I definitely thought back on that moment when we started spamming picks like crazy at CB last year in the draft.

Ginn I get, but Johnson is washed. I see NO reason why we insist on keeping him around. None. He was thoroughly outplayed by just about every other active DE on the roster.

Jourdan must have gotten a lot of response to her tweet.  She subsequently tweeted out something like "calm down, I specifically asked him what he thought of Fournette".. so this was not a totally unsolicited off the cuff comment from Dave which suggests he drooling over him.  It was a response to a specific question, I believe.  Still, Fournette is a big guy, and we know Dave likes BIG MEN.

Actually it was quite the opposite.

Charles Johnson was our best well-rounded DE last year against the run and pass. Just take a look at the first play against the Saints 2nd go around.
