Just wanted to chime in and say that Shelby sucks. What a dump.

Respectfully that is.

I have the liberty/skill-set to live wherever I want.  I choose Shelby, NC.  You can kiss my white ass...respectfully that is.

I never got down Shelby way much. There was a big youth basketball tournament there when I was growing up that we'd always go play in. Western Youth or something like that. I just remember that Spindale would always have a team that was hell on wheels. We'd go back and forth year over year with them as to who was gonna win that thing.

I've told my wife that I figure we have about five years left in CO before we cash in our chips and head back east. Hopefully by that point we'll have enough equity built up to buy a nice place for cash back there and be living mortgage free under the age of 40. Mortgage free living at that age is pretty damn close to having he equivalent of "fug you money". If we can get to that point, I can't pass that up. It'd be nice to be back closer to family, especially now that we have a kid. My wife is ready to go whenever I'm willing to toss in the towel. I just love the damn mountains too much. I figure that when I move back it'll be to the Asheville or Boone area.

This is where I grew up, folks still live there.

I would pie you twice if I could.

If it doesn't work out and you have to stay out there, enjoy CO, embrace CO, become CO, define CO.

If you can and want to come home, enjoy NC, embrace NC, become NC, define NC.

I will turn 50 this June. I have lived in 9 states in 14 different places/cities.

In my mind I'm gone to Carolina...this is where I will die.

Meh, I don't HAVE to stay. I could transfer back with my job right now if I wanted. I make decent money for CO, but I make really damn good money for western NC.

I've only lived in five states (NC, VA, SC, MD, and CO) but I've traveled very extensively. I think there's only about five states I haven't seen and they're in the deep south and NE. I wish I could talk my wife into considering the Snake River valley area of southern Idaho. I firmly believe that's the next spot in the west to blow up. Two and half to three hours north of Salt Lake City, two hours west of Jackson Hole and it's still dirt cheap right now.

The western NC roots are just too deep. At some point I'll probably end up back there.

Love me some James Taylor, but I'm a little younger.

This board is going to hell.  It takes nearly an entire page before someone adds a constructive opinion.  Instead we get a bunch of F__ing bullshyt about stuff unrelated to the topic.    If it was posted and is off the front page I don't go back either.  If you feel that you want to bring it back to the front page than carry your ass back and bump the thread.

Secondly spelling is NOT a requirement here.  If you can't figure out who the OP  is talking about.  Then move on.

Unless your a Igo or any one of the other mods STFU about whining that someone started a post that YOU feel is a retread or someone misspells a name.   If it is a repeat and they feel I doesn't need to be rehashed than they'll delete it.

NOW to the Topic at hand.

Fornette, is my top pick but I would not trade up for him.   We will get a top tier player when the fallout of the top seven is done.  I believe we will be in great shape even if only 1 QB is taken before us.

Can we discuss this guy...interested in posters views.  Personally, I cannot even fathom passing on him, but still he is a RB and injuries are a concern.  We have other needs that are probably more important as well.  I also like Christian McCafferry and his running style (esp if we keep Stew).  Not sure 100% on whether we should use 8 on him.  Should we pass on him if avail and go pass rusher\move down\other need?

Thoughts bitoches.

As a player, Fournette is the real deal. I think, as a prospect, he is slightly better than Todd Gurley entering the NFL, and I know scouts eho have graded him a higher than Gurley.

Fournette is very fast with a burst to hole and a second gear in the open field to take the ball the distance. He has rare acceleration and takes away angles from defenders with speed. While Fournette is a fast back, he also is a power back who can run through tackles and bulldoze defenders trying to tackle him. Fournette is very tough to stop in short-yardage situations and on the goal line. He has a perfect combination of speed and power.

On top of having a great combination of size, power and speed, Fournette is elusive in the open field. He has excellent feet, vision, patience and balance. Fournette uses that combination of all those to spin away from defenders, weave around them, and cut through small openings to pick up more yards. Fournette has a superb ability to run while bending at the knee, which allows him to run behind his pads and helps him to bounce off tacklers. Many backs his size have a tendency to run too upright, but Fournette is very good to bend until he gets in the open field and turns on the afterburners.

Fournette also has flashed some nice hands and route-running as a receiver. He is a willing blocker, and he should quickly turn into a three-down starter once he learns NFL blitz schemes and pass protection. Fournette was a weapon to return kickoffs in college, but in the NFL, his team will want to protect him from injury and not use him in the return game.

For the NFL, Fournette looks like he has the ability to be a franchise player like Peterson. Dominant running backs can make a big difference in the win/loss column, and Fournette could make any offense difficult regardless of the quarterback. Fournette is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. He looks like a future franchise player and Pro Bowl running back - if he can stay healthy. His play thus far has made him worthy of those Peterson comparisons.

If we get him (I want him) I will dub him Net Four, as he will have a career average in the NFL of 4 YPC or greater, as he leads us, alongside Cam and Luke and our other guys to at least 5 consecutive Super Bowl wins.

Net Four! Net Four! Net Four!

I like Lenard Fournet.  However, I don't think we should take him over guys like James Adams or Johnathan Allen if they fall to us.  Taking LJ Howard at #8 like some people are throwing around would be a huge mistake.

Haha, mainly just trolling since it was hilarious you guys were having a conversation in here (seriously that poo is hilarious!). I'm sure it isn't so bad. All perspective. I had the worst job in my life there (Assistant Manager at the AT&T): worst drive (nearly an hour from Huntersville) and worst boss in my life.

Great places to eat though.

Yes I know.  I did it intentionally since the spelling bees in here have a heart attack every time they see a word or name misspelled.

I figured, but I had to do it just because. I LOL'd at your post because I have often felt the exact same.
