Former Panther news...

The Steelers are not expected to re-sign free agent RB DeAngelo Williams.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette believes that "ship has sailed." Williams did a great job filling in for Le'Veon Bell the past couple seasons, but Bouchette expects Pittsburgh to address running back in the draft and get younger there. Turning 34 next month, Williams hasn't drawn an ounce of known interest but could be waiting for training camp to sign.

Source: RB Christine Michael & OT Byron Bell both visited the Packers today. Michael finished 2016 with Green Bay.

They signed Knile Davis so they've got a backup that also plays special teams. I'd imagine they are done with FA RBs.

Tough being a 34 year old FA RB with this upcoming draft class. I doubt any of the vet RBs are going to get picked up between now and the draft. There's just too many talented backs in this draft. These vets are probably going to have to wait for teams to strike out in the draft or for someone to get injured in camp.

Also from Scheffer the other day.. Mychal Rivera signs with the Jags. I always kind of wanted him as TE #2. Oh well, maybe the draft.

Just the thought of two Riveras on our team makes me sick.
