Yes we can.  And do you or anyone else know that we aren't talking to anyone yet?  Nope.  Yet people keep complaining that we haven't signed anyone yet.  What does it matter if Rappaport or others tell the world that a handshake deal has been made with a team?  We might already have 3 handshake deals done, and it just hasn't been revealed yet.  No one knows.

For all you know we could be in negotiations with Swearinger, Cyprian, Jackson, Reiff, Kalil, etc.  there are hundreds of free agents available tomorrow at 4.  Only a few have agreed in principle (not signed) with other teams.

You are setting your self up for that "I told you so" moment. Instead of being excited for "What is to come". You are already mad, and nothing has happened yet. I just don't see the purpose behind being mad about future events?

 

 

Teams have to sign those role players. It is one of those unattractive must do's. I mean, we didn't spend much money, and we have a few less holes than we did a few days ago.

 

It lets your players know you still want their services. Players like knowing they are wanted. It is a small price to pay to keep your team happy, and together.
