Second excuse: We only have 22 million in Cap room.  We have to resign X player from our 6-10 team.

Third excuse: Oh, we'll have cap room next year.  The Draft is where Gettlemen gets his players.

When will the excuses stop?

Since the other thread is locked, I'll bring it up here:

I was thinking maybe we should start an annual betting pool around who panics the earliest in the free agent period.

Whatever ID Chuck is using at the time would always be a safe bet, but there are other 'usual suspects' that'd be equally viable options.

Could make for a fun offseason activity.
