unless addison continues his ascent and turns into a late-blooming star we have no identity at the position. just a bunch of JAGs.

great depth move... but there had better be more coming.

Another signing and a high draft pick...

Or it's another smh move by Gettelman..

I hope bringing back the same rotation isn't the plan..

You just said exactly what I was thinking.

Unless Ealy starts the 2017 season at LDE and has a breakout season our pass rush is gonna struggle this year if we bring back the same rotation. I know we finished near the top of the league in sacks this year but that number is misleading. I watched most of our games this year and I just didn't think the front 4 was ever dominant.

We had to rely on the blitz at times this year to get pressure. If we're gonna get back to the playoffs and compete against the better QB's in league we have to consistently generate pressure with the front four and have capable subs who can come in when needed.  Atlanta's D-line beat the crap out of Brady in the SB, but they simply wore down because they were on the field to long

I like CJ, but I think we can upgrade at DE if we let him go and bring in a FA or a rookie to fill his spot.

We need to do both.. A FA and draft a rookie high.. Especially this years draft...

I'm happy Horton is back. Him and Addison are very good on the right side rotating. Would like to see Gettleman try and get a decent FA DE like Mario Williams or Julius Peppers that could hopefully mentor Ealy. Let CJ go somewhere else and draft a young DE in the early rounds.

Yeah the idea of "keeping the gang together!!" when the gang isn't very good puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Not too long ago I recall G-Man saying something to like "If you're not getting better in this league, you're getting worse".

It's hard to argue with that statement. I don't see how he can expect us to significantly improve in 2017, if we bring back the same DE rotation from a 6-10 team, especially with the defensive scheme we tend to play.

The two guys he just re-signed (Addy, Horton) HAVE gotten better each year...they both had strong showings last season....so??

I agree with letting CJ go. I just don't think he's had much impact on the field in recent years.

I could see Peppers coming back, but not Mario Williams. I think the latter is done.

I think we definitely need too draft a DE early in this years draft. I'm hoping a top prospect drops to us at the 8 spot.
