Plenty of fish in the Safety sea this year.  Gotta catch one of them though.  Boston is killing me.

Yep, as much as I'd love to add address RB, DE, and WR I feel like OT and safety are the two spots that we absolutely HAVE to do SOMETHING. Hopefully the young CBs will continue to develop, but we have to get them better help back there. Get a real SS and let Coleman go back to FS. Upgrade two spots with one signing. This is also a position where I'd rather address it via FA rather than the draft. We already have enough youth in that secondary.

Getting rid of Foles and Charles frees up some space, but I don't think that is nearly enough for that guard they just signed (he's got one year left, but some of his bonus will have to be in 2017), Berry and Poe without a bunch of other work. Foles and Charles is a couple million above Berry alone and they don't have the cap space for draft picks.

If I understand contracts correctly, I believe the Chiefs can structure Berry's deal with a hefty signing bonus/guaranteed money, but at a low base salary for 2017-18.  His salary would eventually skyrocket up, but if they figure the Poe and Tardiff deals correctly in conjunction with Berry and others for the next 3-4 years, they should be good.

Yeah, they're gonna have to be mighty creative. Certainly feels like they're in a situation where they're gonna be in Hurney cap hell in a couple of years (if not sooner). But, if they can kick that can far enough down the road and maybe even sign a guy like Romo in the meantime maybe they can make a run at a Super Bowl.

The Colorado Ski man, LinGor wins tonight's grand prize IMO.  Address one position, fix two.  Just fuging pick any of the half dozen, really good FA FS's and let Coleman do his thing...thumping, bumping and jumping.

It's not rocket science and it doesn't have to involve courting "the highest paid safety in the NFL".

Romo also cost more $$$ than Smith and is never winning the ring.  Would be a d@mn shame if Eric Berry, the Fifth Dimension, never sniffed a Super Bowl.  Don't sign Eric!! It's not too late!!  We're waiting with open arms!!!!!

Until the "y" in Berry is signed in ink on the bottom line...no deal.  Wouldn't be the first to crash and burn at the last minute.  The Chiefs have brought this upon themselves Eric with their wild spending and no solution at QB, not to mention you'd rather be in the Carolinas anyway.  Not too late.

(Sorry brah, never really noticed it was a board.  I still agree with what you said.  Pick one, fix two)

If you had to pick, Cyprien or Church or who?  Personally I have some statistical issues with Cyprien considering where/game conditions he got most of his stats but we have to get someone to float out there in the nether-regions.
