Both ints not jakes fault

both picks were jake fault. the first pass was under thrown horribly and why was moose running a fly anyways. the second was purely his fault. tnewman played smitthy inside and stayed inside...if jake was going to throw it to him than he should have hit him on the outside....smitty stoped the slant bc newman was already there so he went to the outside.not to mention it was 3 people on him it had to be someone else open on that play.

If you believe this, then you know absolutely nothing about a quick slant.

the pass route is a timing route. The ball is out of the QB's hands before the WR even breaks. The WR must fight for inside position....which Smitty did not do.

It really doesn't matter who's fault it was. I tend to believe that the Recievers have lost faith in Jake and are not going to bail him out on the field anymore. If that is the case then Jake is toast no matter if he rebounds or not. So if Jake throws up them lame ducks again he is not going to have Smith and Moose to bail him out again.

If it wasn't the recievers fault then Jake just can't read a defense anymore, He wasn't the best at it anyway. He may not have the arm strength or accuracy he needs anymore. Whatever the case it is doesn't really matter much as it is not going to change under the circumstance with this team. This team has more problems now than a QB issue.

This is 100% correct. Jake threw that ball where he expected Smitty to be, but Smitty screwed him. You don't have time to make sight adjustments on a quick slant.

Honestly, if Fox does get fired, I believe the next coach's first act should be to trade Smitty for draft picks so they can rebuild this WR corps. I would rather have 3 WR's that can all get open than to keep depending on one guy every week. More and more, I've noticed that Jake does a better job of spreading the ball around and throws fewer INT's when Smitty is not in the line up.

The announcers described the Moose INT perfectly. It looked like he wasn't expecting the ball because he was blanketed by coverage. Even if he did go up and get it he would have been knocked the f**k out by the safety coming over the top.

I agree. My biggest concern about this play is......Why the hell are we running Moose deep on plays like this anyway? Isn't Moose older than dirt, the possession receiver, and he wasn't known for being a burner in his prime? We've being trying it all year and I don't understand it. Isn't Goodson supposed to be fast and able to play flanker or in the slot so why wasn't he in the game for those plays? Our fly routes should be reserved for Goodson, Moore, Smith, or Rosario. I like Moose but I wish we would use some common effing sense and call plays that compliment the strengths of our players. This coaching staff has completely lost my confidence.
