very much so. Especially when we signed long time Redskins FB Darrel Young to a futures contract.

Dang, I wanted him gone but I actually feel kind of bad.  He had a good run with us, appreciate the work

He was an excellent FB for us from 2012 - 2015. He was terrible last year but we can't forget the good years he gave us. One of the finest FA signings in Panther history.

Fullback Mike Tolbert finished working out Tuesday morning at Bank of America Stadium and was kicking back with a protein shake.

That it was not a Budweiser tall boy or a vanilla shake might surprise some Carolina Panthers fans who’ve snickered at Tolbert’s beer-league body and wondered how he has lasted nine NFL seasons and gone to three Pro Bowls, including last month’s game in Orlando.

 

But Tolbert’s paunch and big backside belie an athlete who at his best would bounce off tacklers on his way to the end zone, where an impromptu “Dancing with the Stars” episode would break out.

How good is Young as a lead blocker?

I know this was a hard one for the team--Tolbert is part of the family--took less $$ to come the Charlotte, a locker room and fan favorite.

Not sure. But he came into the league as a LB. Mike Shanahan converted him into a very solid FB

I forget which game it was but that time a couple years ago he took the shot to the sternum and was out for a couple of weeks he never seemed to recover after that.  Fair well Toldozer.-
