I wonder this too.  Everyone liked him, but at the same time what message does it send to keep a crappy player and pay him a lot of money despite him not producing.

Pretty sure Ron might have been against this, since he's so freaking loyal to vets who are past their prime. Thanks Dave for having the gonads to do the dirty work.

I agree and all, but why did the panthers IR him? That gave him full salary, why not cut him with a injury settlement? They must really believe it's not serious (???) And/or really think highly of his skills (FB a dying spot)
