This team is crap!

I know we are a small market but I wish there was a level of standards that we had!!!

This season is shot! And... it's frustrating because I watched the Redskins/Lions game yesterday with a few 'skins fans and after the embarrassing loss, the local D.C. media was pretty saying that Zorn better say something about the team's performance and many were calling for his job (the Washington Post, etc).

It's a big difference between there and here. In Carolina, we suck and nobody cares. The standards are so low.

If this was a rebuilding year, I would be O.K. with this. BUT we wasted so much money on Peppers and resigned Jake... this was not a rebuilding year in anybody's eyes. Kemo goes out, the Richardson' sons leave town. I mean... if this wasn't a rebuilding year it has been and the sad part is, we are rebuilding with two huge burdens (Jake and Peppers).

Julius is an absolute joke. I am really upset at the fans who whined about him leaving Carolina? Why? You were all wrong... We should have just let him go and got a 2nd round pick. Now we have crap!!! This team needs money, we have none. Peppers is collecting a million a game and laughing all the way to the bank.

PS: I'm going to the Redskins matchup with 5 buddies of mine. I'm predicting a pretty long drive back home to Richmond. :(

the press conferences are embarrassing.

watching Fox and Delhomme answer questions is like watching a guy try to explain to his wife why he was just caught with his dick in his secretary's twat.

that is easy part.My wife went on trip to help her nephews class out cause they didn't have enough teachers per students for the kids to make the field trip they had scheduled,so why she was gone i went out a few nights to a bar i haven't been to in awhile.I ran into one of the girls i use to date when i met her,we got too deep in beer and wine, came home and screwed like two junk yard rabbits under a pinto, passed out.guess who woke us up next morning?my wife.you should have heard me trying to explain that.I can say,it was easier and had more truth in it than our team trying to explain tonight

Any half-decent team in the NFL could have beaten the Cowboys tonight. They gave the Panthers so many fuging chances to take control of the game. Everything from top to bottom, from game preparation, coaching adjustments, and execution, was just absolutely horrendous. The organization should feel ashamed of themselves for putting such a terrible product on the field. Finally, John Fox's mediocrity has caught up to him and this year is the culmination of that. Kind of reminds me of the falling out of Seifert.

I have never been embarrased as I am now to be a Panthers fan, this organization has done/or not done in three games what the 1-15 season couldn't do, that is break me, I never expected to see the lack of game planning, execution and fundamentals, as i did Monday night, it was a total cluster fug, with the exception of Beason who was having to clean up everyones poo that missed tackles and to a lesser extent Davis who actually made a tackle there is not one defensive player that has shown to have a pair, I'm not all that positive that any of them piss standing up, I don't even know if the DC understands that the point of the game is to stop the other team from scoring, maybe he's confused "Hey Meeks! this is not Futbol",its football you can be physical with your opponent, and Davidson, don't be a douche, pound the fuging rock like you use to pound down burgers, and Fox...Foxy light a fire under your staff's ass, if not for them do it for yourself because its your reputation and your ass that is on the line.

its a good thing there is a bye week because i don't know if i could stand another lackluster performance

What sets us apart from the good teams is we have the "oh crap" mentality instead of the "alright" one. By that, I mean when we put together a few good plays and are moving the ball, or when on defense we're stopping the other guys, we make a mistake (like a penalty) and we're in "oh crap, here we go again" mode. I watched Pittsburgh yesterday when they were facing the Bengals on the Bengals winning drive, they weren't giving up, they didn't lose their swagger, they were high fiving each other, they WANTED to be there with the game on the line! Yes, they came up short, but their attitude ensures that they won't in most games. It's a HUGE difference.

We abandoned the run for all intents and purposes in the second half (except to do our usual and run between the tackles on second down after throwing an incomplete pass on first, and ensuring third and long). I was puzzled by our kick returner not taking a shot at running it out of the end zone in the second half, especially when we were flat on offense. Speaking of kick returns, am I the only one who thinks maybe it's time to let Steve Smith return a few (punts or kickoffs) in order to get the ball in his hands? They shut him down pretty well passing wise, but you'd think a reverse or end around would be attempted to try to bust him out.

Despite the commentators hype, Peppers was a no show again. Maybe we should run the 2 minute offense for an entire half and see what we can do? We played against a team tonight that was as short manned as we were, and we made them look quite good. With a few notable exceptions, we have no heart, because we're not showing much in the way of brains in how to maximize what we have!

This is my sixth season of going to games and if it gets as bad as I think it will, I will be laughing at the end of the year when the stadium is less than half full, and they still pan the crowd for the Games's Best Fan, or do the Harris Teeter thing. Crap, with so few there they may have to point the damn camera my way. Fug that.

I think also most of these guys lack a sense of pride and spirit.

With the exception of a few (Smith, Beason, Davis, Williams, Delhomme even though he sucks, i'm probably missing a couple of others)

Fox looks like the sole source of it all. He looks not the least bit proud of his work, not that he should be, but he just looks like a guy that's punching in and out every day in routine fashion. No swagger, no passion, just a guy who is trying to collect his pay at the end of the week.
