Panthers vs Patriots Opener? What you think

Yes its some ones opinion but interesting. If the falcons dont open the season vs the patriots, would the NFL prefer the panthers?

So who's it going to be then?  Us or the Chiefs are really the only other options.  Many would go berserk but the competitor in me would love it.  I think we could set a huge tone.  At worst, we're 0-1 with our toughest game in the rear-view mirror.

They so wanted the same outcome for the Panthers to legitimize the poo refereeing of Denver fan Clete Blakeman and blatant no calls in the SuperBowl.

Yeah. I'm all for it actually. Most teams lose in foxboro. But if we were able to go in there and knock off the champs and then get ten days to rest up for our home opener. Would be a really big deal. 

Like you said, at worst we are 0-1 and it's an out of conf loss.

The link you posted is just someone's opinion.  Doesn't really mean much.  

Fwiw, I think the NFL would love to have it as the opening game, if they can swing it.  Guaranteed ratings winner.

Yeah I know its someone opinion just like most of the offseason post. Just is interesting if its true. Some say the NFL hates the Panthers. Wouldn't surprise me if we play the patriots in the opener.

I don't know how excited I am with that prospect.

If we do open up with them, we'll be the first to try and handle the Patriots new plays and goodies. Just remember how much our defense was gashed against the  Broncos in the season opener.

I mean film does so much for a defense; especially for Kuechly. Seems we always start slow, so rather not play them until later.

Plus they gave the blueprint in the preseason on how to expose our defense last season. I don't want to face them in the season opener.

True, but I also didn't foresee us letting JNo go and not using his $$$ for anything in 2016.  If GANOMUSTGO doesn't shank the game winner who knows how 2016 goes. He will (better) be gone, and this offseason will be different, so bring it on!!!

And why in the flying fug would we be in the opener? We had a shitty ass season last year and were irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. In the minds of all other nfl fans and normal people otherwise, we are scrubs again. How does that drive tv ratings?

NFL cares about one thing, and one thing only.   That being ratings.  My guess is it will be the Cowboys and somebody.  Atlanta, Seattle, or the raiders mostly likely.
