How about J.J. Watt as a Panther?

It's a cold league ...

Watt has already shown off his best. Washed.

Eh, my thing is this. This team is a Super Bowl contender with the lineup. I think he'd be driven to win knowing we have a capable offense and an even better linebacker than Cushing. Plus the help on the rest of the line. He would have 15 sacks here and still miss 2-3 games. It would never happen, but hey there's madden right?

I kind of agree with others, I'm worried about his injury history. Back injuries are fickle beasts to deal with.

Now, as much as I don't like JJ and think he's a corporate sellout and his work ethic thing is way overblown, the guy does work hard so if anyone could make a comeback it would be him.

From someone who has had the same herniated discs that JJ had, HELL F-ING NO!!!

I'll be surprised if he even plays next year.  He was a fool to think he could come back after 2 months, and I'm amazed he's not crippled after that stupidity.  My recovery took nearly 2 YEARS and I'll never be 100% where I was prior.

Driven? I don't think his drive is in question.

Have you ever had a pulled muscle in your back?  Now imagine what a slipped disc on a 285 lb lineman feels like.  Back issues suck

And dare I say you're probably not pushing 300lbs.  My dad has slipped his disc and he's never been the same.  Right wehn he thinks he's back he pushes too hard and is on the couch again.  Take care of your back gents.. Lift smart

Not even close.  I take care of myself and am back to maybe 85-90% of where I was but I always know it's there and don't/can't do some of the heavy lifting I use to.

To this day I still don't know how I hurt mine.  I think I was helping my dog (95 lb) up some steps out of the lake and I was in a funny position... but it didn't instantly just hurt.  It got worse over the course of a couple of weeks until I had an MRI and figured out what happened.

My original orthopedic guy thought it was IT band syndrome, which I had as well.  Official orthopedic surgeons of the Carolina Hurricanes, my ass.  Horrible diagnosis.

Sucks!!!

Very similar to my dad.  He was doing a standing military press when he was 15 years old and felt something give but it didn't hurt until later.  He was in his 20's before he realized the full damage that had been done.  I don't think he realized how bad earlier because he was really light weight and wirey.

I've got a fractured spine. 270. poo sucks but can be powered through. More so if you're an athlete.

I've had 3 operations on my back in the last ten years. All of them at L5-S1. I herniated the same disc 3 times, with each time expotentially worse than the one before. I had 2 laminectomy/discectomy and finally a spinal fusion. Started for me when I was around 24...I hate to say it but JJ is more than likely screwed. Back don't usually get better, just worse...
