Jimmy Garroppolo

So what would you give for a young proven QB who is already proven he can win games and is not as big a risk as the top 3 QBs in the draft?

You give up a top 5 pick?

Would Chicago, for instance, be better of with Garroppolo than Kizer?

If you think any of the drafted QBs could be even 80% as good as Garoppolo, you draft your QB.

Garoppolo is only under contract for 1 more year before he's gonna want to get paid.

Even if you think Garoppolo is another Aaron Rodgers?

(not to say he is, mind you)

If he was really that good no way Bill lets him go. And even if he was and Bill just didn't want him you still don't give up a top 15 pick for a one year rental that is pretty unproven. Now I could see Cleveland maybe giving the Patriots 12 if they get Jimmy and 32 but I still think that is too much for him.

How often do we see QB backups/middling starters start for another team and play even better? Cassell flopped for the Chiefs. Flynn couldn't even hold his spot with the Seahawks. Texans are regretting Osweiler big time after going through Schaub.

To paraphrase something I heard on the local radio, any GM that will throw away a ton of money/picks for Garroppolo should be fired.

Dude only has a couple starts and got hurt, wouldn't call that being proven...

Houston thought that guy from Denver was proven and look what happened... getting paid like a top tier qb but is average at best.

I was thinking the same thing. Osweiler screwed Garapolo's chances of getting top tier pay.

He was clearly the best player on the field vs Miami, I never saw that in Cassel and certainly not Brissett. Brissett looked like he extremely limited the offense, often looking only to one side of the field. Jimmy played close to Brady's standard, and the Pats did not have to limit what they did, they had to with Brissett and Cassel. I think if you are Cleveland, you send them the 13th, draft Garret at 1, and enjoy your blue chips on both sides of the field.

Cam>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>jimmy. Not trying to be an ass or anything but why are we even discussing this dude?

I don't think anyone's looking at him as a replacement for Newton.

It's just a general discussion of what he'd be worth to one of the teams out there that actually does need a quarterback.
