How is there no thread about this game?

 

Been playing it non stop. Great team based game. I main Pharah,  Mercy, Mei, D.Va,  and Zenyatta.

I play it all the time on PC.   Though, been a rough season in comp because the guys I was playing with bailed.   Solo Q is not fun.   I mostly play Lucio/Mercy/Zen/Zarya and Soldier when no one else is DPSing lol.

I played a lot at launch and kept up with the meta but after I took a break from it, it's been difficult to get back up to speed and relearn some heroes..

Comp is bad on this game though.   They really need to work on it.   The rank doesn't reset per season which defeats the purpose IMO of seasons.   You get better then have a chance to move up next season with fresh start.  I digress though.

Solo queue comp is a nightmare. Game is so team based you are at such a disadvantage if one of your teammates throws or doesn't wanna change off a failing character

My season high is 2240, I win one lose one. I wish I had a dedicated team, I play on Xbox One though. If any of you do and want to start a squad let me know. I really like this game but solo Que is horrid. 

I really want to learn new heroes like Zaray.

There's no thread because we've been too busy being obsessed with the game.

have a love hate relationship with this game. it can be great but also really frustrating. with teams of only 6 people if just one or two guys in your group are being stupid you basically have no chance to win regardless of how good you play.

the game has some balance issues as well, not that there are heroes that are super overpowered, but there are a lot that are pretty weak. there's only maybe 8 that are good overall, then a handful that are good in certain situations, and then half of them aren't viable and you shouldn't even bother to learn them.

and yet for some reason people insist on playing garbage heroes and then stick with them no matter how bad things are going. in season 3 i played about 80% soldier and even then i'd switch off if things weren't working.

Yeah I'd rather have OP heros and average heroes instead of bad ones because you are right, people keep picking them.   Now some of the bad ones, can be good, but it takes a very good player and unless you're at like diamond+ you won't find many.   Competitive has terrible ranking/ELO, I hate the way they do it.   If you support/tank you get less chances at ranking up and that's annoying.  

Server browser on PC should help in terms of maybe finding a lobby and people to always play with that actually try but we'll see.

I honestly haven't experienced this to this point. Playing on PC, and got the game for Christmas. I lose matches of course, but I can't recall it ever being from group members being "stupid". Level of play might be an issue at times, but everyone I've experienced seems to understand the core objectives and what to do in order to be successful.
