Our Future Tight End

David Njoku 6'5 245 runs 4.54 (reported) 40 time.  This guy is big strong fast and athletic.  Could be the perfect guy to put 2nd to Olsen and would be the Tight End of the future.  NFL.com's comparsion is none other than Greg Olsen.  Youll see the athleticism and the speed that Njoku has.  Catching short yardage passes and turning them into huge gains.  Even saw a couple of bubble screens in there.  Watching the extended hands with catches and just the style of running reminds me so much of Olsen.  This guy would have to be a 2-3 round pick.  Probably have to grab him with the top of the second pick.  Could be a great weapon for Cam.

I question whether the people who continue to bring this guy up have ever actually seen the guy play. Yes, on paper he looks like the perfect TE. Ideal size, ideal athleticism, he's got it all. There's one huge caveat though. The guy has bricks for hands. He makes Ginn look sure handed in comparison. Stop watching highlight films and start watching actual games.

He is like Funchess but has chance to be a effective WR. I agree we need a TE that can block like Howard or Leggett

you're a hater dude lol. he's a just a kid and still very raw. he's made some freakish catches and dropped some gimmes. pretty much every actual scout and professional analysis are drooling over Njoku's potential and athleticism. whoever gets him is getting a future all-pro with the right coaching and scheme.

He reminds me a lot of Eric Ebron

I'll take Jordan Leggett over him any day for the Panthers.

that's funny, he reminds professional scouts of Antonio Gates. who you scouting for these days?

Haha member a lot of scouts are wrong

but the point was that there both athletic   that can catch but not much of blockers.

Will he be successful yes, but there are other TEs that fit better for the Panthers

here's a short list of a receivers that had questionable hands but freakish athleticism and potential that worked out:

Alshon Jeffrey - 59.6%

Julio Jones - 51.8%

Calvin Johnson - 48.1%

Demaryius Thomas - 47.5%

also can't forget about the guy we took in first round a couple years ago with a 59% catch percentage. still needs some work but can't complain about a kid averaging just under 1K yards and 9 TD's a year.

The list that didn't work out is a helluva lot longer.
