Should we covert KB to TE?

I really think KB could shine as a #2 WR. He's posted some pretty decent stats of 1000yrds or close to it in both his seasons that he played. He has shown that he can make some very difficult catches and catches in traffic which is a huge plus. It just sucks that he doesn't have break away speed or much of any YAC abilities, which I think means that he really isn't a true #1.

Ginn is fast but getting old and has always had bad hands, Philly , Bersin, Byrd have been complimentary recievers, and Funchess is a poor man's Benjamin at most.

What we are really missing is a true #1. Someone in the mold of an Odell Beckham, Antonio Brown. Doesn't have to be the biggest dude in the world but runs smooth routes , has good YAC, and can outrun DBs more often than not. And the best Cam has ever had in the way of a true #1 is an aging Steve Smith which is sad. Could you imagine Cam having a young Randy Moss and/or Terell Owens?

There's not many of those "true #1s" out there. We don't necessarily require a true elite WR but we do need a better overall WR corps. KB is the only WR on our roster who would actually be considered a desirable commodity on the FA market. That's a problem.

This.

There aren't many "great" WR's in the game.  Julio, Green, Brown, OBJ.  Then you have the Bryants,Coopers, Evans, etc....then you have the KB territory.

We do need a no. 1 in the worst way, but they aren't as common as people would have you believe.

It's too early to call Funch a bust. But he's definitely going to have to take a substantial step forward next season, fair or not.

Agreed.  I'm on board with giving any 2nd rounder a few years to figure it out...especially at that position...but it's time to show some flashes.

KB can't block for his life. He holds when run plays go to his side more often than not and he doesn't have the base strength to hold them.

Strangely, KB seems to think he is a small WR.  It's like my 70 lb bulldog thought he was a lapdog.

Dude has the size and strength to play huge.....and comes up so small.
