Throw in that Proehl has been very defensive of the talent on the Panthers, a prime example being his continual mocking of critics in the NFC Championship by saying "we got no wideouts".

Words from the man himself with circumstances that back it up versus a dumbass theory without basis and with no support from a kid who doesn't even watch the games...

I think it's more of a "teenager syndrome".

He wants to be part of the conversation at the adults table. That's fine. The problem is he's looking for a level of respect he hasn't earned.

He's never played the game, doesn't even watch the games when they're played, has no expertise or knowledge to draw on, but he still wants everyone to listen to him as if he were an authority on the topic. So he looks up stuff online to make it sound like he has a clue, but when he's challenged it becomes obvious quickly that he doesn't.

The above is one example. When I talk about Ricky Proehl saying "we ain't got no wideouts", lots of folks know what I'm talking about. He doesn't, so his comments on it make him look really stupid and he has no idea why.

Kinda sad, honestly.

See, there's nothing wrong with not knowing the game or not being an expert on a certain topic. Just ask questions and try to learn. Anyone can be part of the conversation if they're willing to do this.

Pretending to be something you're not to get online credit, though? That's just immature, and frankly, annoying.

Gooby has pretty well ruined himself on this screen name with his antics. Smart thing for him to do would be to quit this account, create a new one and come back with a persona that didn't act like he knows things he doesn't.

There's nothing wrong with being a casual fan. But if you want to be treated like someone who knows the game, then learn it first.

If you're not willing to do that but you still wanna talk like you're a big deal, you're gonna get shot down every time.

I've been laughing too hard to do much else in here since the suggestion was made that Proehl's "we ain't got no wideouts" comment could have been meant to be taken seriously.

Cam had a pretty good season when you consider this along with our porous offensive line and some highly predictable and uninspired playcalling. 

I hope that one day I'll get to see our MVP future HOF QB get to play with a true # 1 receiver.

Remember when Proehl was saying we got no receivers 2 weeks later when they had 6 drops in the Super Bowl. Truth in sarcasm is hard to understand for the mentally challenged 

Then he ended up quitting
