Football Outsiders Cain Fahey - Panthers receivers are terrible

Again one in a million. Proehl was a 3rd string receiver the majority of his career Grenne was featured player. 1000 of role players have SB rings is that suppose to mean something?

Keep eating up that fluff piece, Proehl is not as stupid as you. If you have conviction of your word and are not a coward make a ban bet with me. If Proehl returns within 3 years delete your account and never come back. I'll do the same if I'm wrong.

Either way you have avoided the main topic like a plague

I don't want to mischaracterize your conspiracy take on this, but I think you are suggesting since Proehl gave up his WR coaching job to "spend time with his family", he must have been forced out / fired by Gettleman.  Even though Proehl has gone on record that this is the very reason he is stepping away, you continue to believe he must of left because Gman is so mean and nasty.

Proehl played football in the NFL for around 15 years.  He probably earned 15-20 mil during that time.  He also owns a successful and popular family sports complex in Greensboro.  My conservative guess is that his net worth is somewhere north of 10 million bucks.

Meanwhile he works a job that in all likelihood requires his attention 70-80 hours a week.  His most important pupil makes 10x more than he does but appears totally unmotivated.  He has been tasked to make a WR out of a man that by all appearances has hands made of granite.  It's possible he simply is not enjoying his job all that much.

If he wants to step away from this 200k per year job for a while to watch his kids play college football, who in their right mind would question this?  He can certainly afford it.  I suspect millions of fathers would love to be in a position to do this at such a relatively young age.  The guy has been playing or coaching football for at least 35 years straight.  Let the man have a vacation.

You don't know jack about Proehl, kid.

Proehl probably has about four years out given that his younger son is only a freshman.  After that, he may come back to coaching. As far as your bet, feel free.  I'm hoping you'll actually grow up sometime in the next few years, but I'm not counting on it.

As to the topic, doesn't interest me. I don't take Football Outsiders or PFF any more seriously than I do any other generic "guy with a website" opinion.

I'm sure you know him the best LOL. You are already back tracking cause you know he most likely will come back for another team.

Of course it doesn't interest you, it doesn't help your Gettleman is the greatest agenda that no one is buying.

Haven't backtracked on a thing, kid.  Keep trying though.

You can find numerous quotes of mine where I've said repeatedly I don't take those guys seriously.

Seeing as I know you don't actually watch the games, you lie about watching film and every single thing you post is something you looked up because you have no football knowledge of your own, I don't take you seriously either, so feel free to keep ranting.

Jerking your chain is good for a chuckle now and then, but you're mostly just boring. Would much rather have a discussion with someone who actually knows what they're talking about rather than a phony who looks up stats and articles trying to act like he knows things when he doesn't.

Oh you're backtracking alright, you know Proehl will return to coaching within 3 years.

Seriously man dont waste your time with him. He has been caught with his foot in his mouth so many times, it second nature to him to back track or change the subject.

You claim Proehl quit because the FO refused to get him better WRs. All this before any off season moves are even able to be made. And a year after we had the # 1 offense, and he got KB back. So it wasn't last year. You know, the year where he was defending his players yelling..."we ain't got no WRs!" During the NFCCG.

You sit there and imagine scenarios, ignore facts, disregard someone's Actual words, all to support your agenda against G-man. I'm guess it's a Smitty thing. Because no rational, remotely informed person would ever proove their lack of football knowledge and common sense on a daily basis unless they were pissed off about something.

Would you like for me to dig up the All 22 thread so people can see who actually said what, kid? I'd be more than happy to. In fact, I think I'll do it whether you want me to or not (just for the laughs).

I fully expect Proehl to return to coaching after his kids graduate. That's likely four years. And again, his kids are the reason he's stepping away. His own (extensive) words confirm that.

I get that you're not old enough to understand a parent's bond with their kids, but if you seriously can read everything Proehl said about his sons and think that's all a made up story, you truly are too stupid to even talk to.

"Gettleman did not have any input on the decision to retain Rivera. In fact, the two men never met until last week.

But Gettleman offered confidence in Rivera and the Panthers scouting department heading into next season."

NO.....he didn't.

Actually he did, the following year after there was a rumor Gettleman was going to fire him.

The full story is here (link)

Dig it up, you got caught in a lie and tried to back peddle like your doing now. I've exposed your lack of NFL knowledge over and over again I don't mind keeping this thing going.

Dont be a coward and accept the bet.

I already accepted your bet, kid.

For the unfamiliar, what happened was that a while back, Gooby was claiming to have watched All 22 film when it was obvious he hadn't.  I trolled him by asking if a particular thing he was saying was in the All 22 commentary. He responded yes, that was where he heard it. At which point I told him All 22 doesn't have commentary so basically he was caught in a lie.

Mind you, I'm not the only one who's trolled him this way. Others have asked him about stuff he claimed to have seen in a game that never happened, and he'll claim he watched it. It's a pretty easy trick to pull on him because he doesn't watch the games, but he wants people to think he does.

It's funny. First it was the rainmaker acting like an idiot yesterday thinking he won, now it's you.

Who's gonna be the next idiot of the day?

Look up the definition of theory

Do I think he wants to spend more time with his kids? Yes every coach does

Do I think he was frustrated with the lack of talent Gettleman provided him with(in which he saw on tape every week) and that on the way out he didn't want step on toes  cause he will like to get back in coaching for another team later, so he wrote the fluff piece about our WRs being talented. Yep

tape don't lie our receivers suck, but you wouldn't know nothing about that.
