Rae Carruth says hi.

Voth reported that he had never seen anyone so universally disliked by teammates and staff in his time here.

Carruth is obviously hated more and for good reason, but Williams managed to generate his hate without killing anyone.

I really don't understand the d will hate....

Oh yeah, making fun of the "keep pounding" mantra that Sam Mills started should be no big deal, right?

Or I don't know, maybe the fact that the vast majority of people who had to work with him here hated him, or that even on his new team the coach keeps having to tell him to keep his trap shut...

Yeah, not sure why anyone would think negatively of him.

A little common sense here. Rae Carruth is an awful human being who shouldn't even be brought up in the same breathe as the Carolina Panthers, unless it has to with his son who is an inspiration to all. I obviously don't think DeAngelo is more hated than a murderer, but I also didn't think it was necessary to bring him up.

if we are talking about specifically about football, than I cannot think of a more hated Panther.

Smitty does this poo, everyone apologizes for him.

Deangelo does it, and everyone is ready to castrate him.

Par for course.

I'll sum it up like this... for me at least...

Smitty's heart for the game and the Panthers was/is bigger than DeAngelo's talent level has or ever will be.

DWill's heart for the game and the chances of him doing anything other than acting like a scorned lover since his release is pretty much as small as a grain of sand in comparison to the entire universe.

Yes, Smitty has thrown his jabs (even though they are more specifically at Gettleman) but he earned the right. DWill had some decent years here, yes... but, especially at the end of his time here, he was unreliable and terrible on game day. Any legacy he left, being our all time leading rusher, is just garbage at this point because A) he's about to be 2nd and B) he's trashed his own legacy by acting like such a baby.

DeAngelo Williams isn't a hall of famer, and will likely only be remembered for his push for breast cancer awareness, his bitter breakup with the Panthers, and by Memphis fans.

Steve Smith is, pound for pound and inch for inch the greatest WR in the history of the NFL. So yeah, I give him a little more of a pass because he's earned it.

Did Smitty ever target Panthers fans in general?  He had a few tifs on twitter with some select people and he never had anything good to say about Gman, but did he generally trash all things Panther the way DeAngelo has?  Not that I recall, but possible that I missed something...

The fact that half ignore what was said to d will to start this, confuses me

Then twisting to make it as if it's a direct shot at mills is even more of a reach.

These dude get called racial slurs, death threats, and all other things on social media but no one focuses on that all we care about is what the famous guy said smh.

It was trash talk between two people nothing more but let's blow it out of proportion
