I wouldn't say he disrespected Mills

Not directly, but the guy was drafted by the Panthers in '06. That was in the early days of "Keep Pounding". He knows damn well what that stands for and to use that as a jab at a fan coming from where he comes from... well, it just fuging sucks.

I've given DeAngelo pass after pass, but serious, the guy can go die in a fuging fire for all I care after that one.

I promise I'm not sympathizing with him, but you got to admit this was a bitter cold way to find out you got cut.

Think of it this way, you have been at a job for almost a decade, you won a bunch of awards for being a top performer and you hold the record in a couple categories for top performance. Your having a bad year (or two) and you get into your office and there is this note sitting on your desk. You'd be pissed and salty too.

Yes the NFL is a business, and this is how certain people get cut, even vets. But even still, it was a shitty way to find out.  We don't know the whole story.  I have heard he started to isolate himself from the organization towards the end.  But we do know, Gettleman/RR have a history of poor communication skills in regards to the business side of football.  I think DeAngelo at least deserved the courtesy of getting a heads up by the Panthers Org, instead of (allegedly) just getting a note tapped to his locker.

However DeAngelo has taken this grudge to a whole new level.  Maybe he has been hit in the head a few too many times and has some mental shortcomings (kidding).  He stays salty and can't separate the good years he had vs. the way he was let go.  Instead of reflecting positively on all he accomplished, he is focusing on the negative.  He essentially has shit on all the people he called his family in the organization, all the fans/families that bought his jersey and supported him both during and after his years as a Panther.

Its time to let it go DWill.  Focus on those sausage finger, stinky inbreds called the Steelers and get over your grudge with the Panthers.
