I still think drafting a RB that early is such a waste.  Look at Jordan Howard last year. There are so many backs taken late who can play.  I think its even more pointless if the offensive line needs work.

Good points and i have definitely thought about this its just Fournette is such talent i wouldnt be mad at the pick. Any less and i would stay away completely.

Everyone on this board is going to throw a rage fit when Fournette is available at 8 and Gettleman picks Tabor , Humphrey, or Lattimore. Because its looking like the #1 CB in the draft will be there when we pick and he's probably salivating at the chance of getting another top shelf CB to go opposite Bradberry. And honestly that wouldn't be a terrible move even though I'd still want Fournette more.

I feel the same, we will have a chance to
Make the secondary a strength for years if we add another tier 1 CB prospect and that's no shade to Worley but that would allow those guys to truly learn, which I felt they didn't get to do last year being thrown into the fire

I'm not going to be super critical of your breakdown, because you mentioned his ankle injury, but it's weird that this is the game you decided to break down. It wasn't that he had recently injured his ankle. He was literally in a walking boot the week before this game. Fournette wasn't healthy at all this year. He had a few good games, but he protected that ankle all year.

I actually felt like this game was his worst of the season, and I mentioned during the game to a friend that he was protecting that ankle and Guice should be playing. If you want a fair breakdown of his change of direction, break down a game the year before.

I'm being overly critical here in my analysis; I still consider Fournette BPA after Garrett honestly.

I'm just saying he won't be a EW guy. Look at his highlights. He doesn't have the change of direction you see from Freeman or such, and that's not a bad thing. He's just a pure great power downhill runner with exceptional athleticism. He won't be an EW guy, but he'll be one of the best downhill runners in a long time.

It wasn't even that bad of a game from him, so it was rather great to see an exaggerated Fournette from all aspects of his game.

It also seems some of you want an all rookie secondary. That way you can come on the huddle just to try and prove to others that you were right about a prospect. We need a veteran corner and safety presence. We have Coleman, that's it.

This guy does absolutely NOTHING to blow me away and think he's better than Dalvin Cook. Nothing. LSU was awful last year too. Can someone do this type of write up with Cook please?

If I write up on Cook, you'll see a lot more critical talk on him and how he has a pretty low ceiling.

He's not a powerback, he's very lightweight. He's not the type of back to move the chains on short yardage situations. Do not want.
