I think we would select a DE before we would take a RB at #8. CJ, Addison, Horton, Short, Love are all free agents and Star and Ealy have 1 year left on their contracts.

For our zone coverage to be effective, our front 4 has to be exceptional. If Jonathan Allen or Solomon Thomas are still on the board, Gman will jump on one of them and pass on Fournette or Cook.

The Fournette pick scares me. He missed a lot of games last year due to injury and the last thing we need is another RB that can't stay healthy.  I would rather see G-Man trade our first round pick to Cleveland and take OJ Howard.

Fun little fact of college games played with injuries

Gurley played

Fr: 14

Soph: 10

Junior: 6

Total: 30

AP

FR:  13

Soph: 11

Junior: 7

Total: 31

Fournette

FR: 13

Soph: 11

Junior: 7

Total: 31

Meanwhile Stewart had only 1 minor ankle injury only missing 2 games his Freahman year and played 36 games over his 3 year college career.  But in the pros spent more time hurt than healthy.

Sometimes you have to look past some of these guys injuries unless its a Major ligement.

Career stats:

Gurley 6'1 225

3,285 yards 6.4 avg 36 TDs

AP 6'1 220 4.38-4.40

4,041 yards 5.4 avg 41 TDs

Fournette 6'1 230 (clocked 4.35 coming out of high school at combines)

3,830 yards 6.0 avg 40 TDs

Ill be Happy Happy with Fournette.  Give me 1 of the 2 LSU kids in the 1st and we will be good.

To answer the thread though.

I dont see Jets going Watson.  Theyve spent a 2nd and a 4th on QBs the last 2 drafts.  And rumor was they may like this kid they got in the 2nd last year.
