Unless we don't hang onto Ginn, then there isn't much difference aside from Jackson MAYBE grabbing 1-2 of Ginn's usual drops.

Also, you're looking at about $4 Million per year or more difference for those 1-2 more catches. Totally NOT worth it.

Draft a later round project guy on the cheap and you're good.

DJax is one of the top speed deep threat WRs in the NFL - even at 31. He beats safety over the top coverage all the time. To say this team has other needs is one thing. To say DJax wouldn't bring a new dimension to this offense is just not true. We don't have him. Steve Smith is the closest we've ever had to him as a deep threat speed guy.

We lack speed. The reason Cam had problems (besides the Oline not holding up) was lack of speed to get open. Philly Brown is the xfactor. He didnt get many reps last season. He was a big part of our 15-1 season along with Cotchery. Our recieving core was Ginn, Cotch, Brown and Funchess and Olsen. We made it to 15-1 with them and great defense. We lose Cotch add Benjamin, Brown loses reps and lose Norman and we never once looked like that team of the previous year.  We need either find a way to integrate brown or bring in a speedster that has been proven.

This is puzzling. I understand that the Panthers never make big splashes in FA but some guys on here are brainwashed. How can anyone be content with the WRs we have in place? 

Everyone wants to get Cam help but not do anything about it. Go out and get legit proven talent. Most WRs are divas. We're wasting a golden opportunity with an Elite QB.

And for the record, I'm not saying to win FA like the Redskins every year but we can't stand pat every offseason too. We still haven't even had back to back winning seasons. Maybe we need a change in philosophy.

We have a #1 WR, if he can pull his head out of his ass. We also have a #2 if Ginn stays. We also have a #3 if Funch can be consistent.

So why blow 7-9 Million for a couple years on a guy that won't really make a difference in what we do?

We need to put our money into edge rushers and the offensive line, and we need to draft an RB and some DB help.

DJAX, JPP, or any of these other big name/big money FAs are not the fixes to our woes. Most of our problems stem from injury, coordination, and execution. No single FA, or even a combination of big name ones, are going to fix that.

We aren't the Washington Dan Snyder's. We're the Carolina Panthers.

He's never been asked to be a #1 because he sucks anywhere else. Comparing the two is laughable at best.

Also, KB is not a #1.
