We can move away from the read option and still run out of the shotgun. We have never used two back sets in a traditional sense since Cam has been drafted I don't expect us to start 7 years later. At the end of the day Cam feels most comfortable in the shotgun running a no huddle offense, we need a RB to help him in that sense.

Rivera said last week we are going to run more 2 back sets and use more tight end blocking. If he is right, what we have done up to now is going to change.

Everyone is dying to get a real FB but I just don't see us over hauling our entire offense to fit a RB. Even in Cam's rookie season where we had the most success running the ball it came out of single back, two TE sets and shotgun, we hardly ever used a FB in a traditional sense.

People are saying FB but it can be a blocking TE/H-Back. Shockey was a strong blocker in the 2 TE formations in 2011 and Hartsock served that role in 2012 and 2013. This offense sorely needs someone who can block and can accommodate it one way or another.

People don't know what Dalvin is like now. He is a leader in the locker room. He had trouble his freshman year, and I don't think it's enough to deter us. I don't trust Fournette, but then again I've only seen Dalvin play. He fits the offense. Also, his field vision is ridiculous. And he can catch out of the backfield (ha dude said it in the video as i typed it). But his cut, his power, his quickness for hitting the hole, we need this guy. Fournette seems more finesse. Plus we got KB.

Complete opposite.  Fournette is stronger, established blocker, wants to hit, punisher.  Dalvin is quick, agile, balanced, avoids hits, nowhere near the power of Fournette.

I like the vid but if Fournette doesnt fall to us I hope we go DE and pick up RB later.  I'm not that impressed with Cook for our system and in the TOP 10.   I especially don't trust Shula to use him properly.

He said "a little more", how much do you trust Rivera to stick to those words?

Either way Cook can fit a single back system. I still would take Fournette over him, but Cook is just as good

And for anyone interested, this is the schedule he's eyeing and the prospects he'll be scouting before the draft:

As of right now, here is my entire pre-draft release schedule.

2/7 - Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU

2/9 - Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State

2/14 - Malik McDowell, DE, Michigan State

2/16 - Cam Robinson (OT, Alabama) vs Myles Garrett (DE, A&M)

2/23 - Jamal Adams, S, LSU

3/2 - Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State

3/9 - O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama

3/16 - Jourdan Lewis (CB, Michigan) and Jabrill Peppers (S/OLB/CB, Michigan) vs Gareon Conley (CB, Ohio State) and Marshon Lattimore (CB, Ohio State)

3/23 - Reuben Foster (ILB, Alabama) vs Zach Cunningham (ILB, Vanderbilt)

3/30 - Jonathan Allen, DE/DT, Alabama

4/6 - Wayne Gallman, RB, Clemson

4/13 - Tre' White, CB, LSU

4/20 - Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan

4/27 - My big ass video mock draft the day before the actual draft

So keep your eyes peeled for anyone you personally want to take a look at.

The guy is a top ten player(usually #6,7) in this draft on most Big Boards including the two below. Somebody, if they have the fortitude will be getting a very good one, maybe great. I'd hate to see this guy with NO or Tampa.

Rob Rang CBS:

6. Dalvin Cook , RB, Florida State Seminoles , Jr., 5-11, 206, 4.46
While Fournette's blend of size, speed and power are certainly intriguing, one could argue that Cook offers the greater recipe for success in the NFL. He offers terrific instincts as a runner, showing vision, patience and burst attack on the ground. Just as importantly in today's pass-happy era, Cook has soft hands as well as the toughness and selflessness to block, when necessary. Cook ended his career in style, running for 145 yards and a touchdown and adding another 62 yards as a receiver to help beat Michigan Wolverines in the Orange Bowl.

Chris Burke Sports Illustrated (has Cook rated above Fournette)

7.DALVIN COOK, RB
JUNIOR, FLORIDA STATE
With nearly 4,000 yards from scrimmage to his credit over the past two seasons and more than 5,000 for his career, Cook is a lightning bolt with the ball in his hands. An NFL team that can get him into space will reap the benefits for years to come.

Meh, I'm sure he's a top ten talent, but he's not a once in a generation talent like Fournette. TBH, Cook's the kind of RB that deserves to be in the top ten, but we shouldn't pick him up because of the plethora of RBs in later rounds.  Would rather get the DE or SS that you can't get later.
