They played great in the final few minutes. In reality though, they had two huge lucky breaks in Goss rolling his ankle in the final few minutes probably had something to do with him getting his decisive shot blocked late in the game. And having Gonzaga's big dude , not karnowski the other guy Dickie V couldn't stop slurping the entire broadcast, him being out for a a huge portion of the 2nd half had to have been a huge factor as well.

I mean these things happen and by no means should people say that it was simply luck that UNC won the game, but I'm just saying you have to acknowledge that these factors probably played a huge role in the victory especially in such a close game.

UNC , they shot abysmally for the most part but played hard and hit some decisisve shots that they needed to make and played incredible defense when in the last minute.

No bigcat plot twist I'm a UNC Alumni class of 2013. I just get frustrated as inhuman fug with them alot of the time but I'm glad they won.

honestly I would never have admitted this today but I can now.

I honestly felt deep down man this was our year. Too much positive karma and very lucky ball bounces for us in tourney. The epic collapse and epic comeback against Arkansas, Luke Maye's shot, the absolutely crazy final possession against Oregon, and now this.

Luck is such an important part of winning big games and championships in sports. The ball bounced favorably for us in this tournament. The school, program, fans and most importantly Coach Williams needed this after all the complete garbage that UNC has gone through in the past 5-6 years.

Also, much respect to Mark Few and the Zags. Easily the best, most complete team UNC has played all season.

how the hell was joel berry the most outstanding player of the Final Four? Kennedy Meeks should have won that hands down

disagree. Meeks was a close second, but did any other player for UNC hit a three? Berry is the point guard, the facilitator, the quarterback and playing on two jacked up ankles.

Much respect to Meeks though. Been fun watching him develop. I have a feeling he is going to go down as one of the most under appreciated players in UNC history. His contributions to the program and this tourney run should be noted.

Nothing about that tournament was pretty, but that is the great thing about this year's team, they win when things are not going well.  All that matters is the final result!  Go Heels!!!

To me it was ugly because of all the tacky tack fouls though, and not the actual game. Anyway, congratulations to the Tar Heels. They deserve this.

Why is there one Duke fan in here being a douche? The heels just won a title. Your team lost in the sweet 16. Get lost

I know about 150 duke fans (several I consider very close/very good friends) and only one of them went to duke. A majority of duke fans are wal-marters who would rather UNC lose then duke win. It's pathetic. Not to mention those idiotic duke "fans" who PAID for tickets during the opening round in Greenville SC to watch UNC and pull for whomever they were playng. Sad!
